I want to add a post like system to my forum. What is a good free one that does not display big branding on the footer?

Well you pretty much eliminate most of them by your requirements. :p

Also I think vB5 has it built in already. But kinda hard to tell what you want, you posted in the vB5 section, but are asking for vB4?

There is no completely working likes system that I would recommend other that DBTech's. It is free, but does have branding in the footer. All other ones have bugs, and have not been updated in quite some time.

That is true to a degree, as it only shows up on showthread & blog, but this is not minimal.

Yeah I never found the DB Tech branding to be minimal either. I always found it rather annoying to add a new link for every hack you install and then when you install the "merge the links into one" hack it never seems to work no matter what site you put it on. :(

Well for me, I liked Scandal's mod (( [AJAX] Thumbs Up? )) and it's brand free

i tried that and it caused a fatal error. I tried the dbtech stuff and the branding was too much. That is why i am going to try something else.

I've used Abe's Ajax one in the past, but I see that Abe has been absent for some time. There are fixes for things in the thread, but I'm not sure that it now works with the recent version of vB with the fixes.

I used ForceHSS's update of abe's ajax. There was one image missing in the package, but i found it, and uploaded it. It works good.

Heya, did you report the issues you had with the merge copyright mod? It's installed and working on a few hundred different sites. We'd be happy to check yours out and debug what's going wrong :)

I just went through the thread, and I don't see any issue you posted with it.

I know it don't matter, cause you already uninstalled it, but I would like to know for clarity where it was posted. :)

Yeah that is the mod but I cannot remember if I posted it here or over at DBTech or possibly I may have gotten sidetracked and not posted when I thought I had. At the time there were quite a few things going on the site that it was installed on and there were some other pressing things to take care of. I am old and senile some days lol.

Well if you have issues with it, I am sure they would be more than willing to work with you, should you want to try it again. If not it's cool. :)

Yeah I maybe installing some of those on my personal site I'll see what happens.
