[OzzModz] Site Founder/Owner Post Identification

This mod will add a identification to the postbit of the userid's that are set as founder/owner.

It is a simple installation, upload the contents of the UPLOAD folder then import the product XML, ozzmodz_owner_post

You can edit the options under the settings, [OzzModz] Site Founder/Owner Post Identification Settings

Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask?

A. Some admins might like to have their posts stand out more than other posts.

Q. How do I change the text, Founder Of XXXX ?

A. Edit the phrase, ozzmodz_owner_post_founder.

Q. How do I change the color of the text, Founder Of XXXX ?

A. Edit the stylevar, ozzmodz_owner_post_color.

Q. How do I change the images that are shown ?

A. Edit the stylevars, ozzmodz_owner_post_founder and ozzmodz_owner_post_owner. ozzmodz_owner_post_founder is the image that is displayed on the left and ozzmodz_owner_post_owner is the image that is displayed on the right.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

sir one more question how to use this mod for other usergroups ?

This is not for usergroups, but userid's so you need to enter each users id # that you want this to work on their posts. :)

Ozzy when you upload the files are these supposed to be in forum root or in images folder i am not seeing the images is why i am asking

In the root, just like you load anything else. Drag and drop the contents of the upload folder (use Ctrl+A to select all files) to your public_html folder.

Don't forget to mark as installed if you are using the mod. :)

Actually download the zip and try it again, upload the contents of the upload folder.

Just a quick question ozzy is it even possible might be the question

the text that says founder of your board on right hand side the text can be changed

can the text be changed for each user id you put in that can utilize the mod

No that can not be done at this time. :( I doubt that would even be possible without adding more queries to the page, which is already alot.

That's not a good idea either, otherwise sites that are multi lingual will only be able to have the text say one thing.

just a little explanation on that if you put a block in settings where we can change the text of the right hand side how would that affect sites that are multi- lingual

i get why you wont go route for each user id being able to have the ability of having its own but the other i guess i am not understanding

It should not affect them, because it should automatically switch sides depending on the RTL or LTR variables.


The thin is the mod was not designed to have different text depending on the users, it is ment to be a indicator for the site owners post, to stand out more from other staff. It is basically the same way it is on DBTech's site, Decado is the only member that something like this shows up on.

Maybe at some point in the future I can see about different text for each usergroup, but I don't know when that will be.
