Hi Folks,

I installed this mod,

but nothing appeared. I asked for help and got no response.

My users really want Google Search. Is there ANOTHER way that I can do this?

The only place to ask for help is in the modification thread. We don't know the code, so it isn't anything we can help with out here in the main forums.

My question was, is there ANOTHER way, other than this mod that I can't get help with, to put a Google search on the site?

For instance, do any of you guys have a site or code that can help me do it.

I have used (see reference below), but my template code unfortunately will not help you. Read through the article if this is the direction you wish to go, then I can help you with some basic template code to implement it.

Ah, sorry, that wasn't clear to me. I thought you meant is there another way to ask for help with the mod.

Where, in which template, would I put this so that I can have a Google search box at the end of the Navbar or right side of the header?

Add the <script></script> code to the "headinclude" template.

Add the google search element "<gcse:search></gcse:search> to your "navbar" template.

Play around with it a bit within the template, then I can be of more assistance. The exact location will depend on your style, unless you are using the default vbulletin style.

I moved it around, but nothing appears.

What am I doing wrong?

No there isn't. The commands he tells you to find aren't there and there is no form action statement of the type he refers to.
