Good deal.

Snowhog 09-15-2014 12:38 AM

Wow. Downloaded and installed three of your MODs today.

I like the 'little gems' you come up with. Small, but big in value.

Marked as installed, and rated 5 stars.

Thank you again.

Does this require "exec"?

What is that?

ozzy47 09-19-2014 01:16 AM

If you mean, http://php.net/manual/en/function.exec.php

This mod should not require anything you don't have already.

migratoria 09-19-2014 09:28 AM

Have you selected who can view it? In the options....

ozzy47 09-19-2014 09:31 AM

They should show up on the online.php page. Make sure your user is in a group that you set in the mod's options, or you set your userid.

great mod ozzy :) would it be possible to have it at the very bottom of the forum above vb branding?

I might be possible, I'll look into it for a future update.

thetechgenius 10-01-2014 11:19 PM

I see the text:

Server Load Averages: , ,
Server Up Time: ,

But no stats show up. Maybe because im running my site on a windows based server (Windows Server 2008R2)?

ozzy47 10-01-2014 11:20 PM

Most likely, I don't think it will work on a windows server.

gajinoz 10-02-2014 09:54 PM

Marked as installed. Works just fine. Thanks.

I have a question though, what do the server load figures actually mean? For example, here is what I see on mine:

Server Load Averages: 0.13, 0.04, 0.06
Server Up Time: 150 days, 6:53

What does the number 0.13 actually mean, is this high or low or whatever?

0.13 is a pretty low server load average. You can learn more about those server load numbers here

Great stuff, thanks.

Yeah, I figured that was the problem.

qpurser 10-03-2014 11:11 PM

Ozzy,
installed your MOD and did the settings as required.
However I get also the
Server Load Averages: , ,
Server Up Time: ,

problem.

We are on a regular Apache server

ozzy47 10-03-2014 11:20 PM

Not sure, have not run across that on a linux system before.

Microsoft released an 'uptime.exe' many years back -- it might still work. Today, many admins handle this through 'power shell' on windows servers, although there are a quite a few alternate methods. If you can get some feedback from the users here, maybe we can gain a picture of what the windows hosts are recommending for a "loading response". A good host will have already established a response method.

I run my own dedicated server though. So there isn't any host that manages my machine.

Sorry, I am not sure what you are referring to, or your point?

:)

gajinoz 11-01-2014 05:11 AM

Interesting development ....

I had this working perfectly on Vers. 4.1.7

I've now upgraded to Vers. 4.2.3 Publishing Suite. Now it doesn't appear to be working. Yes, I did re-enable the plugin.

Possibly something I did somewhere but maybe there is some issue with 4.2.3

No big deal but maybe you might want to have a look at it.

ozzy47 11-01-2014 09:10 AM

I have it working fine on v4.2.2 pl2

Papa Bear 11-01-2014 10:37 AM

I have it running fine on 4.2.3 beta 3..

Fair enough, possibly something I've done somewhere but I have no idea what. It would be interesting to know if anyone else with 4.2.3 has a similar problem.

ozzy47 11-01-2014 09:07 PM

Possibly disable all your other mods and see if the issue is resolved.

andrew67 11-13-2014 12:46 AM

Any chance a future update might include displaying it on the forum home page ?

ozzy47 11-13-2014 12:50 AM

Possibly, but IMO that is just clutter on there, and would not be as easily viewable as it is on the online.php page. Another advantage to it being on the online page, is the page auto refreshes, giving you more up to date numbers. :)

andrew67 11-13-2014 01:03 AM

Most VBulletin forums are full of clutter :). The "whats going on" box has number of members, number of guests, most users ever online, etc etc and I though server load and server uptime would be a worthwhile stat inclusion. As a reasonable sized forum (600K posts,60k members), we do regular mailouts that refer members to a particular thread which can send our server load up and down a bit so it would be interesting to both members and staff.

On a seperate note, keep up the good work :)

Now that I think about it more, you should be able to add the following to any template, to get the display.

HTML Code:

{vb:raw show.server_load}

ozzy47 11-21-2014 09:34 AM

Well there you go. :)

helmer.co 11-25-2014 10:07 PM

Well, this installed fine but shows no stats. Show the text from the mod but all stats are blank.
