Where are my spiders?

I set the option in the CPANEL to display spiders but I don't see the spiders!

Who took my spiderS?

ForceHSS 08-17-2014 03:38 PM

try looking under the bed

ozzy47 08-17-2014 03:45 PM

Well you would see them in the online.php page

You should also use the spiders list I did, http://ozzmodz.com/showthread.php/94...s-List-Updated which has 892 different spiders defined.

ForceHSS 08-17-2014 04:06 PM

Try any of these
For vb4.0.x This works for me on 4.2.2
For vb3.8.x
For vb3.7.2
For vb3.6.0

Not enough flys around...

RichieBoy67 08-18-2014 06:39 PM

I took them..sorry but I was hungry.

Are you sure they are enabled in the options?

I am using your spiders list sorry I forgot to mention that. But I am looking for you spiders and I don't see them maybe I am thinking phpBB3 because back in the day when my forum was on phpBB3 I used to see which spiders are currently on my forum so I can invite them for a tea or coffee

ozzy47 08-19-2014 12:49 AM

How many guests do you have on your forum?

Since I have vBulletin 3.8.8 which is the best vBulletin and smokes vBulletin 4 and 5 in terms of speed and page loading, I installed that plugin and it did the trick

Now I see only 2 Google Spiders!

seems like the spiders don't like meh

Zero guest at the moment it's busier at other times

PS: Thank you so much for the hard work you did in updating the spiders list! You rock

ozzy47 08-19-2014 01:10 AM

OK this is the older list, try this one, and wait a day or so, and see if they show up then.

Let me know when you downloaded the file, so I can remove it.

New list didn't work on my 4.2.0, as i told you on your board. List before the latest one does work however. Still using it.

And it's a immediate difference, don't have to wait a day.

ozzy47 08-19-2014 09:05 AM

Ok let me know, then if new spiders keep showing up, I will need to see what is wrong with the other list.

If the old list works for the OP, I will then go through and compare the older one, and the newer one, and try and find the issue. Because that will be two users reporting what you did when the new list came out. :)

Hmmm, ok then I will have to go through the newer list and see what is causing the problem. :(

Unclear why you needed a second occurrence of this in order to check it out, when I pretty thoroughly explained the issue to you before and did careful testing of it to make sure there was a problem.

ozzy47 08-20-2014 12:44 AM

As I said in the PM you sent me:

I just don't understand how it works for me and 19 other people, but not you and the other user.

Makes me begin to suspect version specific? The board of mine where the new list does not work is 4.2.0 PL2

No idea what the version of the OP's board is though.

ozzy47 08-20-2014 01:04 AM

I dunno, I'll figure it out maybe this weekend.

ozzy47 08-20-2014 09:06 AM

They were already visiting, it just that you could not tell because the spider was not defined. Well it is, but obviously there is a issue in the newer list.

MaXimus 08-20-2014 10:43 AM

ohhh right, good luck on diagnosing the issue dawg!
