Werid problem

Ok i have a werid problem.

Ok on my forums, which i do not want to show right now, still working on it. I have this problem with my forumhead. a werid shadow is showing up. will post a pic of a arrow pointing to the problem. This is only happening in firefox, it look ok in IE and other browser. Is their a way to fix it in firefox browser. it not happening in other browser as i tested it in other ones.

Here is a link to a better up close picture.

It is impossible to tell from a image.

Does the same thing happen on a unmodified default style?

Gophers 08-08-2014 10:16 PM

No it does not happen on a unmodified default style.

I updated the first post with a better picture of the problem.

It's a CSS issue and those are impossible to figure out from an image (even if I could see what I'm supposed to see in that small image).

ozzy47 08-08-2014 10:34 PM

Yeah even with the new image, still impossible to tell what it is. Someone would need to look at the issue on the site, with a tool like firebug.

I still don't know exactly where this shadow is. Can you take a small picture and attach it to this thread so we know what we are supposed to try to fix.

Gophers 08-08-2014 10:59 PM

I think i fixed my problem anyway, so sorry for this thread. Can it get close.

ozzy47 08-08-2014 10:59 PM

Glad you got it sorted. :)

Rather then posting in a new thread, i am going to post it here. I been working on my forums and still working on it. want it to be perfect before i open it up.

What is the best way to have the toplinks look like the pic i am going to be post. I found this on a few other sites while searching the net for stuffs to read. But what is the best possible way of doing it. making the toplinks full width of the site and have a like black background. my site width is 990px;

btw here what i use for toplinks in additional.css.

.toplinks {
background: -moz-linear-gradient(center top , #151515 0%, #000 100%) repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;
position: inherit;
padding: 2px 20px 4px;
right: 0px;
z-index: 999;
margin: 0px -16px;
border-top: 2px solid #101010;
border-bottom: 2px solid #101010;
}

Is their a better way of doing it then that.

Lynne 08-10-2014 03:44 PM

If what you posted works, then that is a fine way to do it.

Gophers 08-10-2014 03:49 PM

Thank. Will give that a try. Hmm didn't work. i put the code in and now my toplinks is below the forum logo.

Lynne 08-10-2014 04:08 PM

Why have you removed the additional.css from your site (the headinclude template, I believe)?

Anyway, get rid of the position line and you may need to add width: 100% to it.
