* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

Might have to log out - therefore making yourself a guest - before you can see the change.

I always view the changes from another browser as a guest. Thanks for the reply.

Does the same thing happen on a unmodified default style?

Hmm, if you could PM me a admin account, I can look into it when I get home from work later today.

Alan_SP 08-07-2014 12:10 PM

When we speak about that, could the WGO be replaced with text of our own, to try drive more registrations?

For example, to put phrase (so we can use it on multilingual boards) on lines like this:

"To see forum statistics, please register (link to registration page, of course). Registration is free, simple and fast."

ozzy47 08-07-2014 12:20 PM

It may be possible, I'll look into it as soon as I have a chance.

How about something like the attached screenshot?

ozzy47 08-10-2014 06:22 PM

Kinda disheartening when someone leave a rating of 3 and don't comment why. :(

dandanch 08-10-2014 07:25 PM

Thank you, now she's working:)

ozzy47 08-10-2014 07:27 PM

Glad to hear it is working now. :)

That looks great.
I did this one one of my Forums with coding, but this is so much easier...
Thanks..

ozzy47 08-11-2014 12:36 AM

Yes it is much easier to maintain this way, vs file editing.

I will see about adding the replacement for it, once I hear from Alan.

Glad ya like it, and thanks for marking as installed. :)

Yes, that's exactly what I had in mind, especially if it uses a phrase.

New Joe 08-14-2014 02:13 PM

Look forward to the update ozzy

ozzy47 08-14-2014 10:37 PM

Yeah I am a bit backlogged, but it should be tomorrow or Saturday if all goes well. :)

v1.0.2 Released (August 16, 2014)
- Fixed a issue that would cause your grouped templates in the ACP, to not work correctly.
- Added a option to show guests a message, encouraging them to register, to see the What's going on block.

Basically he plugin, template_group for some strange reason don't like the character, ' and would cause issues in your Edit Templates list.

Alan_SP 08-16-2014 10:07 PM

Did you entered phrase for guests to register in this version?

ozzy47 08-16-2014 10:11 PM

It appears I did. :p

Again, writing it when I was tired, and forgot I added it. :)

Alan_SP 08-16-2014 10:39 PM

Ok, great.

ozzy47 08-16-2014 11:04 PM

No problem, it was a good suggestion. :)

thetechgenius 08-25-2014 07:58 AM

I really wish this would look good with my custom style, but it doesn't.

I can't get the WGO block to look like it does when the mod is disabled. I just want it to look the same as it did, just no info in the box, just the Guest Message.

I have disabled the mod for the time being, so you can see the WGO Box right now when you go to my site.

Take a look at the attached screenshot.

ozzy47 08-25-2014 08:33 AM

In order to make it look the same, you would have to set up the template, ozzmodz_hide_wgo_replacement the same way your current WGO is done.

Like the classes and such. You should be able to find that under the template, FORUMHOME

If you find yourself in a bind, let me know. :)

I tried that lol. I even copied the entire Whats Going On Box from the forumhome template, and put it in ozzmodz_hide_wgo_replacement without any editing of the code, just to see if it shows up. But it doesn't. I don't think it is linking to the correct CSS files for the WGO box. I could be wrong though.

ozzy47 08-25-2014 07:19 PM

If you want, you could PM me a admin account and I can see what I can do for you.

Black Snow 09-09-2014 07:34 AM

Does this mod save any queries etc or is it hidden via CSS?

ozzy47 09-09-2014 08:55 AM

It's done via CSS, but is could save page load times as it does not have to show the template. :)

GONUMBER6 09-10-2014 11:05 PM

Awesome, I was searching how to do this and saw everyone was editing Forumhome which I didn't really want to do.

Great, thank you!

ozzy47 09-10-2014 11:25 PM

Not a problem. Glad you like it, and thanks for marking as installed. :)
