Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask? A. Some admins might like to hide What's Going On section to guests, to help with page speed, and remove clutter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like this mod please hit the https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/08/1.png button to the right ----> Please remember to click the, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/08/2.png button to the right if you installed the mod ----> What does 'Marking As Installed' do ? * It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available. * For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention. * Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications. When we speak about that, could the WGO be replaced with text of our own, to try drive more registrations?
For example, to put phrase (so we can use it on multilingual boards) on lines like this: "To see forum statistics, please register (link to registration page, of course). Registration is free, simple and fast." |
It may be possible, I'll look into it as soon as I have a chance.

v1.0.1 Released
Added a missing template, and change the hook location to ensure it is working. Everyone should update to the latest version. |

Kinda disheartening when someone leave a rating of 3 and don't comment why. :(
|
Thank you, now she's working:)
|

I did this one one of my Forums with coding, but this is so much easier... Thanks.. |
Yes it is much easier to maintain this way, vs file editing.
I will see about adding the replacement for it, once I hear from Alan. Glad ya like it, and thanks for marking as installed. :) |

v1.0.2 Released (August 16, 2014)
- Fixed a issue that would cause your grouped templates in the ACP, to not work correctly. - Added a option to show guests a message, encouraging them to register, to see the What's going on block. Basically he plugin, template_group for some strange reason don't like the character, ' and would cause issues in your Edit Templates list. |
Did you entered phrase for guests to register in this version?
|
It appears I did. :p
Again, writing it when I was tired, and forgot I added it. :) |
Ok, great.
|
No problem, it was a good suggestion. :)
|
I really wish this would look good with my custom style, but it doesn't.
I can't get the WGO block to look like it does when the mod is disabled. I just want it to look the same as it did, just no info in the box, just the Guest Message. I have disabled the mod for the time being, so you can see the WGO Box right now when you go to my site. https://thetechgenius.net Take a look at the attached screenshot. |
In order to make it look the same, you would have to set up the template, ozzmodz_hide_wgo_replacement the same way your current WGO is done.
Like the classes and such. You should be able to find that under the template, FORUMHOME If you find yourself in a bind, let me know. :) |

If you want, you could PM me a admin account and I can see what I can do for you.
|
Does this mod save any queries etc or is it hidden via CSS?
|
It's done via CSS, but is could save page load times as it does not have to show the template. :)
|
Awesome, I was searching how to do this and saw everyone was editing Forumhome which I didn't really want to do.
Great, thank you! |
Not a problem. Glad you like it, and thanks for marking as installed. :)

v1.0.3 (September 11, 2014)
