CSS and Postbit Help
 

When I attempt to put in the css to your additional.css as written, I get the following error:

Unclosed Curly Brace Expression

Anyone know how to fix it?

It may be previous CSS that you posted in 'advanced.css'. There is nothing wrong with the CSS posted.




Post the contents of your "Additional.css' file (If it is not too long) and I will take a look.

The css you posted above, the very last line, did you not copy the entire template?

What i posted, is all that is there, from what i see.

The last class is not complete. So for the time being comment out the class, like so:

Looks like you inadvertently clipped this definition while editing. It is supposed to be:

I suggest you either restore it or remove it entirely.

The bolded ones i am pretty sure (scroll down to see) need to either be commented out with a # in front of it, or needs to have a dot at the front of it. Like this:Or this:

And as a general rule, for me to avoid these errors with existing definitions, I put all my own custom definitions and hack definitions in the empty box you see below where this full one is, which is there and left blank for this very purpose. The top box is generally there only for the custom properties the style itself uses.

I would like to be able to put the "add as friend" button anywhere in the postbit legacy template. Anyone know how to change the code to accomplish that, instead of having it at the bottom of each post?

It has selectable template hooks.

That would require modifiying the postbit_legacy template yourself. Which is really not that hard to do.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, I do not have FTP access and cannot install Ozzy's mod. That is why i had to pick this mod. I do not know enough about coding, to be able to edit the legacy template in this regard, which would allow me to move the button wherever suits us best.

Most styles modify the vbulletin "postbit_legacy" template, so unless you are using the default vbulletin style, and you are not using any modification that modifies the "postbit_legacy" template then it will be a bit difficult to assist you. Sorry :(

I have made simple changes to the postbit legacy (re: inserting profile extras to display on the left) I haven't done anything major. I back up the templates in case something goes awry. I don't mind trying if you think you might can explain to me where to insert the code etc.

I just needed a picture, but that will work. For the sake of the thread it would have been better to attach it. :) Give me a bit, I will send it back with the change. Do me a favor and delete the code in the previous thread and resend the code as an attachment. There is no "</vb:literal>" ending tag in the above template text.

I attached the legacy as requested to my previous post. The reason I added the literal statements is because the code from "add any" kept giving me curly bracket open end errors and I didn't know any other way to try and fix it. I made sure I had cut and pasted all of the code from their site correctly. It didn't give me that kind of error with the smaller default button they offered. Just the one with more options.
