I cried during Titanic... When that crazy woman threw that jewel into the ocean robbing generations of her family from financial independence!

"Beyond the Sea" 2006.... because I was raised on all the night club-type singers' music and particularly Bobby Darin, who was my late mother's favorite.

I could not help but think of her in the early scene when the young ghost version of Bobby appeared and older Bobby asked "how come you know so much about me" and the kid answered, "I am you."

Whole movie tore me up after that.

Surprised I was by another movie and scene, "The Shawshank Redemption" I got caught on when Andy escapes, emerges from the sewer pipe, strips off his cover clothes and it starts raining on him, there in the creek. Great scene, highly emotive.

Many other movies and their scenes choke me up a little, but the few that actually jerk tears are memorable.

John Wayne death scene in "The Cowboys" for example.

The Wind Rises got me pretty good, ending is super depressing :(

I never cry at movies as they are not real life. It takes a lot to make me cry and only true life things

Frequency made me tear up, and that was when my father was alive- if I watched it now I'm sure the tears would be pouring out.

It's a odd thing right, how movies can affect us differently in different stages of our lives.
