How to add Border around all of the page....

I would like to know how to add a border all around the page on every page.

Also how to make it fluid on every page as well.

5.05

I have not made any changes to it at all.

Thank you for any help!:up:

First, I am no expert on vb5, but by default most responsive layouts are fluid, usually in a fixed style they are bordered. Obviously, if you made your style fixed you would loose the responsive state, although you can use a second style for mobile. If this is what you want to do, reply and I will look into it.

@Lynne and @Zachery are probably the expert's here on this question.

Yes Judge it is the default theme.

tbworld - So do I need to get a different layout/theme? Get rid of the default theme?

I was waiting for someone more knowledgeable with vb5 to answer this question for you. If know one replies I will take a look it for you.

What is your desired width for your page/document?

Hi, what do you mean by "around the page"? If you want to add border around the content, add following into your additional.css (admincp > style manager -> choose your style > CSS templates > additional.css)

HTML Code:

#wrapper {
border: 10px solid black;
}

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by making the border fluid, but I guess you're looking for box-shadow css property (http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_box-shadow.asp).

Thank you PSiggy, that's what I wanted.

Using css border or you can use rounded corner images for your main forum layout to make it look attractive for viewers.

2C Drones 03-11-2014 11:54 PM

How do you do that Tommy?

While rounded images sound like a good idea, they add extra load to the server to deliver them, if they are rounded via css.

On the border which looks great, what do I add to the script to make the corners round on it? The border is exactly what I want but I think rounded corners would look better.

Change the CSS you added to this:

Code:

#wrapper {
        border: 10px solid black;
        border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px;
}
