Anyone know how to do this on google?

So i've noticed in search listings, the results look different for different websites.

This is the result on a festival search that has multiple options under it

Mine however, does not

Friendly URLs & Mod Rewrite Friendly URLs in admincp.

No, it has nothing to do with the type of URLs or whether you use mod_rewrite. I have a basic 3.8 site using the out-of-the-box URLs and my site looks like the site in the first image on google (site name and six areas linked under it). This is something google itself controls. I think it has to do with the amount of traffic going to your site and the most popular forums or areas on your site.

these are called Sitelinks

Google will only show sitelinks for results when they believe it'll be useful to the user. If the structure of your site doesn't allow for their algorithms to find good sitelinks, they will not show them.

so its nothing we can set in the webmaster tools?

It is all dependent on how relevant your site is to the search. If it's the most relevant you will usually get the display...

html 5 microdata helps too.

Structured data breadcrumbs from data-vocabulary.org will help too. :)

I agree with this opinion, It's exact.!
Proof you can see in this link, my site also showed sitelinks when search domain name on google.

Does anyone have a more detailed guide on how to attempt to get this?
I am also very interested as my website doesn't stand out on google as it lacks this. Would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure anyone *KNOWS* how to do it, just people who think they do.

It is up to Google's algorithm.

What I have seen is that the most clicked on "and" consistent links on your website's homepage are the ones that are included here. So what ever your landing page is, the most clicked on links "from" the most searched "keywords" or relevant searches are what they use to display those Sitelinks in the search result.

So the links that bring in the most traffic to your site.

On my site there are 6 links that are clicked on daily more than any other, those are the ones displayed here:

Hope that helps out...

I see... I think I'll have to wait for my forum to become far more active and established to begin picking up those trends and seeing the result.

Would be great if you could really manipulate them though. I've seen some forums have weird sitelinks displayed as a result of its 'randomness'

Its simple

If that helps, these are linked forums and they are also products links in my cart

That was one of my first action when I built my site
The linked forums take you to the demo page and the cart links to product themselves. So as far as Google is concerned, those same name repeat links with different target have to be important.

I also have those links on home page

I think you're site is new based on your statistics:

Threads 1,758
Posts 26,979
Members 1,615
Active Members 357

But as your site grows more popular, Google will have sitelinks to the most popular shared sections within your site. Also a good way is to add direct links within your header to the most popular pages that is relevant to your site. This tells Google that these are important sections/pages within your site.

Take a look at this site for ex https://www.google.com/#newwindow=1&q=animenewsnetwork

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/03/14.png

If you visits http://www.animenewsnetwork.com , you will find that these site links within Google are sections on the site's header. It has to be relevant and popular though to your site.
