How do I allow a specific user to edit their posts

with no time exclusion, and only for this one user? Thanks!

You could make a new group and give them the permission to do it or add them as a mod of a section and give them the right to edit there post and then there wont be a time limit

I did this, but it still is defaulting to the general update time limit set in general settings. How do I bypass this for a specific group or user? Thanks!

As i posted two different ways to do it what way did u do it the best is add a person as a mod to each section then give them only the permission to edit there own post or in options/Message Posting and Editing Options/Time Limit on Editing of Posts = 0 this will allow all groups or install the plugin in the above post

Thanks! I will probably do this. Also, if I add a person as a mod, is there a way of instead of them editing someone else's post to notify the admin so that admin can decide to change a post or not? Thanks.

admincp/Forums & Moderators/Forum Manager pick a forum in the dropdown pick add moderator see screenshot below

Note this will allow them to edit anyones post

Ok, so if I want them to moderate all forums, then I have to do this for each forum? Thanks again.

Ok, saw that that will allow them to moderate anyones posts... hmmm... have to think about this. Was hoping for a notification type system that an admin would receive before post could be altered. Thanks.

Have you tried the plugin in post 3 yet. It might be more what you are looking for. When installed make a new group base it off Registered Users permissions then move the member to that group and allow that group only

--------------- Added [DATE]1393200064[/DATE] at [TIME]1393200064[/TIME] ---------------

This mod will only work as long as you make the members group as there Primary Usergroup
