Problem: I can't see my own profile
Hi. I'm the administrator of a vBulletin forum with:
* 4.2.1 * vBSEO I moved from my hosting and everything is fine, except I can't see my own profile. I can see others profiles and other members can see my profile and their own too. I tried with another account and I can see my profile there. I never had that problem before. Of course, I tried disabling vBSEO and all worked fine... but disabling vBSEO is not an option for me... too many links that I can't change now (there isn't an "automatic" reverse for that, right?). Can you help me? Am I missing something? Can I disable vBSEO for "profiles" only? When I tried to change to "none", I can't. |
Maybe someone will be able to help you, but vBSEO is dead, so there is no support from there site, which is where you should be asking.
|
I know, that's why I ask here.
By the way, I found how to disable vBSEO for members profile, but even there I can't see my own profile with the "normal" url: http://www.playadictos.net/member.php?u=1 What the hell... :( |
What does the URL look like when you try to view another members profile?

Mine is: http://www.playadictos.net/member.php?u=1 I can see http://www.playadictos.net/member.php?u=2 http://www.playadictos.net/member.php?u=3 etc... It's very strange... |
What PHP version are you running?
|
PHP 5.3.28
|
Hmmm, so you are sure it is only vBSEO causing the issue, have you tried with all your other mods disabled, and vBSEO running?
Have you tried on a unmodified default style? What about logging in as another user, and trying to view that users profile? |
I entered to the forum with my son account and there I can see my profile, but not his own...
|
Ok so it is for each user that this is happening, what about the rest of the questions?

*YES, and nothing happened. Have you tried on a unmodified default style? *My styles are the default ones, I only changed colours. :( |
So you have no edits in you templates at all, thy are stock other than the colors changed?
Is this something that recently started happening, or has it been going on for awhile? |

In AdminCP>Options go to "Plugin/Hook System" and disable the hooks. |

But that would disable vBSEO also, the issue seems to be with that mod.

What is it you see when you try to view your profile with your own account? Error message, blank page etc.

Makes no sense. Because with hooks disabled, VBSEO is as well. Please create new style with NO parent and make it publicly available, for testing with a default style. |

I've searched every option on vBSEO panel, even disabled vBSEO for profiles, but I can't find the problem... --------------- Added [DATE]1390538133[/DATE] at [TIME]1390538133[/TIME] --------------- Quote:

What about this:

Ahhhhh, ok. Read over this, Blank or 'White' Pages |
*With all hooks disabled, the problem still persisted but with ONLY VBSEO off, all is good?
That's right *Makes no sense. Because with hooks disabled, VBSEO is as well. I disabled one by one... is there an option for disable all at once? |
Follow the instructions in the above post for blank or white pages.

In AdminCP>Options go to "Plugin/Hook System" and disable the hooks. This kills all code not native to vBulletin. |

It's for 4.2.1 too? |
Yes it is for all versions.
|
I searched with the manual for Blank Pages and only thing that could be is this (but I don't use the reputation system):
vbulletin-ajax-reputation.js | File does not contain expected contents Other thing is this (I don't think could be related?): ./clientscript/ckeplugins/vbimage/dialogs image.js File does not contain expected contents I'm not sure if this is the problem :S |
Searching the manual don't do jack, follow all the instructions in it, do not skip anything.

It doesn't hurt your site to have them off for awhile.:D |

Because before, you were saying you disabled VBSEO and the problem went away, but when disabling all Mods the problem persisted. That did not compute. So yes, now it looks like vBSEO is causing your problems. I'd ditch it, personally. just turn it off and leave it off. |
I'll disable again, one by one... testing at the same time...

FOUND IT!!!
Problem start when I enable vBulletin Blog. I have all the rest of plugins AND vBSEO working and I can see my profile. If I enable the blogs, kaput... What do I do now? XD --------------- Added [DATE]1390544315[/DATE] at [TIME]1390544315[/TIME] --------------- OK... I tried disabling vBSEO for all blogs url, but that didn't solve the problem. I'm clueless now... :( |

Did you try using a default Vbulletin theme as mentioned above?
Not sure why disabling the blogs would allow you to see your own profiles. I do not think it has anything to do with Vbulletin though. |
