You do realize I did this back in mid December, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=305915 :)
EDIT: Ohh wait, I think I see what this does now, when the user registers, they fill out the info and it post a thread with that info? |

Ok cool, sounds like some people may find it useful. :)

Good idea.

Updated to version 1.0.1
-Fix a Bug Double lastposter name |
This mod is not showing any field to enter intro at the time of registration
But after submitting the form, an error message is show, must enter minimum 300 chars and not allowing to submit the registration form. Suggestion: Is there a way to make it prompt after successful registration and before accessing the forum? Now, many popular websites are keeping this method. Basic details and human verification for registration and prompting every time to complete the rest of the profile by showing % remaining. |
Did you add the fields in the User Profile Field Manager?

Thanks for the responses from both.
I forgot that, just imported the plug-in only as usual as other mods. I try doing that & update the result later while marking the product as installed. "ozzy47 " who is also giving lot of useful modification, may consider my 'suggestion'. Thanks in advance. |
Installed and working fine,
but, now the intro posts are not coming in the Activity Stream?! Is there a way to add it? Thanks |

Fix Post Count Bug and Last Post Link Bug |
conflicts with advance rules, but disabled works great, thanks

Do members receive replies if another replies to their intro post?
|
I just installed and ran this but once I complete the details on the register page and click onto the next page, a database error appears. (user account it created and intro post posted) no idea why the database error appears.
|
What was the error, or are we just supposed to guess? :)

The mod works very nicely for us. On our forum, we want a user to post an introduction after he joins. Most users refused to do this. This mod allows them to do it at registration.
There is one undesirable thing about this mod- it posts the introduction immediately, before the user is even approved from moderated status. If you decide you don't wish to approve the member, you have to go back and delete their introduction. I placed the forum on moderated, but that did not work. Can you have the mod wait to post the intro until after they are approved (removed from moderated status)? The other thing I wonder is why there is a field in the mod's admincp menu for minimum length of the introduction when the custom field "length of field" setting already does that. |

Database error attached, doesn't give any indication though, no error codes ect?
|
Check your server error logs.

We already have the same plugin since last year.
The plugin works great. We are using it for several months already. Here is what I noticed. - Thread titles are all the same except that the member username is present on the title. Its already obvious to other members that this is automated except from the intro contents. I suggest to the author to make another custom field that will serve as the thread title. So that welcome threads have different thread titles. Great plugin btw! |
Hi, I have this running on 4.2.5 and it's working, but when clicking "find latest posts" and "find latest started threads" in the profile the intro thread doesn't show., is there a way to get this working? Thanks.
