All images show as attachment - PLEASE help
 

I have been battling with this problem for almost 2 weeks now, all uploaded images only show as attachment with a number behind it. Urljet is my hosting site and I asked them to help me with this but unfortunately they cant resolve the problem either. I found a thread with the same problem on vb.com which was asked in August but never answered by the staff. I read through 5 pages of threads here and do not see a similar problem either. We disabled all mods and hooks, cleared cache, tried from several different computers with different browsers, upgraded to 4.2.1, rebuild attachments and still nothing works.

Do anybody know how to solve this problem please?

Thanks but that did not work either, Urljet did check all the usergroup permissions which was correctly set up, changed it and changed it back to see if it would make a difference but nothing worked.

Oh but you cant see images if you are not registered. Here is a screen shot:

If you then click on the attachment then it shows as invalid link contact administrator:

Make a test account also disable all plugins from the config then check if you still have the same problem

What did you do two weeks ago before it started happening..

You need to disable plugins from the config
To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php

That is what Urljet did on the 11th with no success. I did ask them in the support ticket if they did it the way you described and I am waiting for their response.
That is where I think the problem is because after installing modifications the attachments started giving problems and then got to a point of not working at all. Everything I installed was removed but it did not correct the problem. I installed the following modification:

I did read through all those mods and did not see a similar problem.

If you want I could login to your admin panel and take a look see what the problem is we can talk over skype while this is being done if you wish

Yes please, I dont have hair to pull out anymore and my board is already at half the active members due to the problem and we are small to start off with. I am from Africa though so I am not familiar with skype, do we have to talk on skype PLUS my internet is maybe a 0.01 speed of yours. I found the problem, photos load perfectly every time with the quick reply disabled. I have no idea how to fix quick reply so I will just live without it then.
