You were right, sorry about that. We have just fixed the links. It should work fine now. Do let me know if you still have any trouble installing.

This is because your forum has not been activated.

After installing the mod, as you did, you need to activate it by registering your forum at
http://stickers.feeligo.com/forums/vbulletin/activate.

Activation is free just takes just a few seconds, and it enables you to customize your stickers and manage the mod.

Our apologies, we should have been clearer in the opening post. We have modified it to include activation instructions.

ozzy47 12-04-2013 12:45 PM

So this pulls the stickers from your site, or once someone activates their site, and customizes the stickers, can they download them so nothing is going through your site.

You are correct, the sticker images are hosted on our servers. This is by design, because the mod uses a database of stickers, so we need to keep track of the URL of the image of each individual sticker.

Cloning the stickers on your own forum would make them inaccessible from the mod, which means your users won?t be able to benefit from the features of the mod (recently used smileys, trending smileys, or new sticker packs). It would also prevent the smileys from showing up in search results and auto-suggestions inside the mod. All this would essentially makes the mod useless for your users.

Finally, it is actually more efficient to host the images on our servers. First, you do not pay for bandwidth used by the images. Second, we host the images on Amazon?s cloud, which has enormous speed, bandwidth and uptime, and this helps make your pages load faster.

You're welcome. :)

We have just launched the mod a few weeks ago, and are in the process of designing many more sticker packs. We expect an entire new batch to be launched for Christmas within the next couple of weeks.

If you have any suggestions for stickers designs, feel free to reply to this post.

faisaly.com 12-04-2013 06:20 PM

so basically these are just like smiley images, but these images are hosted on your server instead?

Morrus 12-04-2013 10:37 PM

I'm not clear what this is. You want us to replace our smileys with your smileys? What's the difference between a smiley and a "sticker"?

Suggestion: Allow option for users to specify their own image url's (if you wanted to could allow upload via admincp as well) and the only reason I mention this is the fact forum owners are used to this "flexibility" and also some may not like the design of your current stickers.

This doesn't replace your smileys. It adds our stickers to your existing smileys.

Stickers are much more expressive than smileys, allowing your users to express a whole range of emotions. You might have noticed stickers on popular chat apps such as Facebook Messenger or Line. Users have expressed delight while using those stickers - a particular set of stickers branded by 'Anooki' has been downloaded over 95 million times on Facebook Messenger.

Additionally, this mod enhances usability of stickers and smileys on your forum. If you check the demo on http://vbulletin.feeligodemo.com/, you can experience the various features of the mod. Once your users begin using the smileys and stickers, the mod will recommend smileys to them based on the recently used smileys, the most popular smileys on your forum, or on the basis of an 'auto-suggestion'. The auto-suggestion often recommends relevant smileys to your users instantly, as they type their post. Users can also search for smileys based on keywords, without having to browse through all the smileys on your forum.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Whenever any manager (admin) activates his account, he gets access to his own dashboard on feeligo.com. This dashboard is currently being developed, and, when ready, will allow the manager a lot of flexibility. All he has to do is to login to his account and manage his smileys and stickers as he wishes. This is also where managers can view their revenue reports, when branded stickers are launched.

You should see some of my smileys. I think you'd be surprised at their variety and expressiveness. Especially some of the animated ones.

We would be happy to see your smileys and get inspirations for our smileys and stickers. Remember that installing this mod DOES NOT delete your defaults smileys - it only adds additional smileys and stickers to them (which can be managed by the admin via his dashboard).

faisaly.com 12-05-2013 08:14 PM

or you can use the stickies hosted by your site and add them to smileys manually via admincp...

CoZmicShReddeR 12-05-2013 08:49 PM

It sounds like a great idea but am afraid to use it because if your system ever goes down or belly up what would happen to all those posts that used your stickers??? Would the image leave a (x) there for where the sticker was?? Are there any safeguards in place for sights?? Will this cause more lag for busy forums if people use a lot of stickers??

What this modification is apparently offering is the socialized aspect of smilies. We all know we can add anything we want in the Smilie Manager. This is something different.

He said they were using Amazon's cloud. If so, then they'll probably be there forever. Their uptime is nothing to sneeze at, either. Have you used Netflix in the last few months? That's the type of server they'd be hosted on.

I'll consider trying these out in the near future, but the lack of customizability is the only thing holding me back. Though, if they're sufficiently generic enough, then that's not really a problem.

faisaly.com 12-06-2013 11:59 AM

its not dofferent from smileys... its for users with crappy hosting like shared... and I am sure it will save bandwidth like stated above...

best thing is its free!

Yes, it is free, and it can earn you revenue.

massiveblack 12-12-2013 11:41 PM

why are there no revenue generation details available? Where can this business information be found? How does it work? Nothing is found on your site, or in this thread.

Thanks

ozzy47 12-12-2013 11:44 PM

I believe that is because that feature is not available yet.

massiveblack 12-12-2013 11:46 PM

Thanks...Hmm...it is being advertised like it is. Not sure what the point of that would be. Hopefully they are not misleading folks. Seems like a good idea though, although if they are getting people to sign up then trying to pitch advertisers then that would be a bummer a bit. I will see if I can get a meeting with them and will update folks if I hear anything.

dizzynation 12-12-2013 11:56 PM

I think the idea here is the author gets forums to use the stickers, then author goes to business and says "look how many people see these" and then pays % to author and forum owner - Genius I think

Thanks for the comment. As ozzy47 rightly pointed out, the revenue generation feature is still being developed, as is the management interface that allows you to enter payment details and track your payments.

I have left you a PM with our contact details. Please feel free to contact us or give us your contact details. We are happy to have a chat.

feeligo 01-17-2014 12:52 PM

Hi Everybody,

Thanks to all those of you who have already downloaded and installed the app and thanks for the great feedback.

We have been improving it quite a lot with new sets of stickers and faster and more pertinent automatic suggestions.

Also we were wondering if some of you could rate the plugin?
We have only had one guy who rated it when we launched because the version uploaded wasn't the good one.
Since then we got a lot of positive feedback but nobody took the time to rate it yet.
It would help us a lot!

Thanks a lot to all of you!

iiioroh 10-27-2015 09:09 AM

:( Stickers are unavailable at the moment. Please try again later.
