Another mod brought to you by,
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/1.png This is just a small mod, that will allow you to show a Users Subscribed to a thread block, when viewing threads. This mod may increase participation on your site, as users become more familiar with the subscriptions they can do. As it is now, most members probably don't realize they can subscribe to a thread. It is a simple installation, just import the product XML, product-ozzmodz_subscribed_users You can edit the options under the settings, OzzModz: Subscribed Users Block Settings Complete Feature List

No time right now but will do.

I had messed up the logic in the coding.
|

Just tried to move locations of block and does not seem to work for me on the
Above Thread Tools Block Above Thread Info Blocks Works great on the other 2 any ideas? Thanks |
Is this a custom style?
|
No Default but do have a ton of modes installed.

I don't see why it would not work on that, if you want, pm me a admin account, and I can look into it a bit later today.

I've got to REALLY brag on Ozzy! He's an exceptionally decent guy and deserves major Kudos for being super helpful and instantly attentive to any issues (or screw-ups in my case) to anyone using his mods. He went above and beyond to help me last night when I made an install error, and while he was at it he resolved a totally unrelated issue on my site. If you use his mods, why not donate a few bucks for each one you download, mark the mod installed and rate it.
|
Thank you ozzy! For the quick replies and fix for my issues.
The issue was my cache of templates ozzy found it your the man! |
Not a problem, glad to help. :)
|
Dude I love this! - You are taking over the mod section and Im loving it!!!
Any chance it is possible to not show other members but still have everything else, because that would really br great for me. Again, thank you for taking the time to do such mod! |
What do you mean not show other members?
|
NOTE: After subscribing, im not getting the "unsubscribe" button.

I am unable to replicate that, perhaps do a ctrl+f5 ans see what happens.
|
Great mod like alway's, but would it be possible that you can make it where they can only see their username and not everyone else's, but staff can still see all?
|
It may be possible, but that kinda defeats the purpose for which the mod was intended. This is to let the users know that members are subscribed, and bringing the subscription more into view, so it get's used more often.
|
Oh, Ok I understand, just thinking if it could be added as a option. Thanks
|
I will look into it during the next time I update the mod for feature updates. Thanks for marking as installed. :)
|
Is there a way to make this where - If they click the subscribe button it is auto set to "Instant Email Notification"?
|
There may be, not to sure. But that may be a bad idea, having members auto subscribe by email rather than opting in.

Now that may be a possibility, I will look into it during the next feature update.

Nice work as always, Ozzy.
If I understand correctly, though, implementation of this mod won't allow people to subscribe anonymously? In addition, all previous subscriptions that were made with anonymous intent are now broadcast? I realize that's fine for most threads on most forums, but there may be instances when people wish to subscribe anonymously. For example, I have a health forum. Folks may not be crazy that their surreptitious subscriptions for 'Natural Cures For Herpes' are now being made public. If, in addition to the 'Usergroups Not Allowed To See The Block,' there was also an option of 'Usergroups Not Allowed To See Who Subscribed' then that could take care of the anonymity issue. In other words, I would like the ability to make invisible the "who subscribed" part of the block to certain usergroups - not just have the option to make the entire block invisible to certain usergroups. I 2nd the idea an option for instant email notifications. The email notifications lead to greater and more immediate (read: relevant) participation among forum members. If it becomes bothersome for someone, they can edit their subscriptions later. Is it possible to implement this mod in Groups? One of the biggest drawbacks of the Groups aspect in vBulletin is that the subscriptions to threads aren't automatic (even if someone has replied to a thread, they still have to subscribe manually. Couple this with the fact that recent Groups posts aren't displayed on the homepage the way recent forum posts are, and, voila, nobody uses Groups). Having the big ol' 'Subscribe' button that this mod provides would go a long way to remedy that. Installed and nominated as it is. Nice job and thank you for what you do! |

Muahahha! So people actually asked about how to subscribe to certain threads just about 10 mins ago and I just installed this mod as well...lets see how it goes Ozzy...but knowing these guy's forum activity, this mod is certainly gonnah make a huge difference now !...another great mod I am sure !
|
Excellent, glad to have made something you did not know you needed till now. :) Thanks for marking as installed. :)
|
Yeerp..thank you and you are also welcomed my Man! ...muahaha!
|
Great work here, very useful!
The selection for display above thread tools does not seem to work for me on my custom theme but works fine on the default theme. Is there any way to add this to the template manually or is there any other reason this one setting would not work with my custom theme? All the other settings work fine but this one setting fits best for me. May have to vote for this one for motm! Very useful way to encourage more members to subscribe! |
Set it back to that location, then in the template, SHOWTHREAD find this bit of code:
Code:
<div id="thread_controls" class="thread_controls toolsmenu"> Code:
{vb:raw show.ozzmodz_subscribed_users} |
I got it now though I do not have that code in my template. My showthread is heavily modified but I got it just where I want it now.
Thanks bro! |
