Need help downloading latest vbseo installables.
 

Since VBSEO.com is no longer available, i need help to download vbseo installable files.

Speaking of which, thanks for the reminder. Forgot that I wiped the downloads folder not too long ago on one of my drives.

If VBSEO's install files are anything like vBulletin's (where they a traceable to the person who downloaded them) it would be a very bad idea to share your install package with someone else. Just because their website is offline doesn't mean their copyrights are forfeit.

3 of websites are down and I dont have the vbseo install files with me, will appreciate if someone can help.

What that means, is it would probably violate the copyrights they had in place, to not allow members to share filed between each other. It is also possible it might not even work, if the files have any kind of coding in them, linking them to each users site.

Afaik, they have nothing in them like that, and as long as you have a valid licence to install and use the software, i dont believe there is any reason you could not obtain them from an alternative source.

Well that's a plus Paul, but how would the member sharing their files verify the person they are sharing the files with has a valid license?

Problem is if their background server is disabled, wouldn't the license activation fail when you enter the key?

I would just stay away from Vbseo. There is no need for any seo type plug in anymore. Just focus on good content, navigation,etc..

You should either stop using vBSEO all together, and migrate to another supported platform or stop using the "seo" tool altogether.

The only reason you should be looking for a copy of vBSEO at this point in the game would be if you were fixing a hacked site i.e. you are overwriting all vBulletin and mod related files to ensure they are 100% clean of infection (and of course this means you had vBSEO installed already but need clean files etc). If you're not doing that then you need to realize currently at the time of this post, vBSEO is dead, has been dead and more than likely will not return couple that along with the fact any of the old versions are extremely outdated and if I'm not mistaken vulnerabilities exist in any of those versions. Furthermore you should not be downloading nulled versions of any scripts from any websites if many of you had half a clue about what they embed and insert into some stuff you would be shocked and if you want to say some warez sites do not do such things then you be the fool and think there's honor amongst thieves, gullible is the term you're looking for.

If you're upgrading then before you perform the upgrade you should either:

• Remove vBSEO entirely, change to mod rewrite friendly url's in admincp and redirect old links to the new ones via .htaccess as well.
• Do as Zachery mentioned above and do not use seo tools.
• Convert from vBSEO to something like DBSEO.

Edit: Don't forget that many of you submit tickets to your host, if you submitted a ticket in the past and attached a copy of vBSEO, well then there's a clean version you can download! Only tip I could think of :p.
