Youtube bb code howe to do?
 

Hi,

How can I create a bb code for youtube videos. Eg [youtube] here the link [/ youtube]. All links from youtube I want that then manifests as video.

Use the VIDEO bb code that's included in vB4.

Or even easier, click the insert video button in the editor when you're creating your post.

The code does not work. I just want that when a user clicks on the youtube icon and paste between the [youtube] [/ youtube] link the video appears on topic Create.

That particular code doesn't work for me either. But it does work with actual videos.

vB 4 has video built into it, you click this icon...

So there's no sense in duplicating the video icon with a youtube icon.

Yes i know that butt my members doent know that, thats why i wwant to do a youtube icon.

Why not educate them, instead?

Unfortunately, with YouTube and browser technologies today there is no secure way to paste information to the user's browser. That means no auto-insertion of information. No matter what scheme you use, you are still stuck entering cryptic information into the browser or using cut and paste.

It seems to me that almost all available methods were given and @nhawks first post most accurately answered your direct question -- thus using the direct cut-paste method from YouTube.

replacement:
this will play the hd version if available by default without having to select it.....1080p by default but if 1080p isn't available then it will play the 720p by default. it also won't show relative videos when done playing but if wanting to show relative videos then remove "&rel=0"

Please give an example to what you are calling a 'full' link?
If you do not have an example then you need to site references on the web. Your not getting the answer you desire, because your question is unclear at this time. :)

What I mean is if I complete youtube link between the [YOUTUBE] HERE THE FULL YOUTUBE LINK [/ YOUTUBE] rather than that the video appears on youtube.

remember just copy the 11 alpha-numeric characters , red text below, that follow the "v=" and paste that between
And NOT the full URL link...
And the "?hd=1&vq=hd1080" that I referred to in my post will play the hd version by default without user having to manually select it.
