Here is a small modification you can use to have a default avatar, in the postbit, for your members that don't have a avatar.

It is a simple installation, upload the file in the UPLOAD folder, then import the product XML, product-ozzy_default_member_avata

You can edit the options under the settings, Default Member Avatar Settings

Complete Feature List

• Option to disable the mod completely.
• Option to select which usergroups to show the default avatar on.
• Option to set the path and image name to the avatar you want to use.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

the directory in rarfile has wrong name (images/avatars/banned_avatars)

must be default_avatar

Think I found a bug.

Now no matter whos profile I go into their avatar gets replaced with the default avatar. On the forum their regular avatar shows up.

Perfect for me needed this just need to decide what to use as default.

Hi Ozzy and thank you for the Mod, is there any way that the default avatar could be made to show up on the "Latest Forum Posts" in the Forum Sidebar?? I am running VB4.1.5

You always get the weird stuff going on, I am unable to replicate this on my dev site, are you sure it is not another mod conflicting?

It may be possible, I will look into it when I get a chance. Don't forget to mark as installed if you are using the mod. :)

No, but another mod that also uses the avatars is also having issues. I'll try to narrow down what might be effecting both.

What? The image is named, default_avatar 1.gif and the setting, should have this, images/avatars/default_avatar/default_avatar 1.gif

This was is ok as u know its the banned_avatar that is wrong

Ahh, ok, I do believe that was remedied already.

no in the xml you still have it as banned.jpg

the default_avatar 1.gif needs to be renamed to default_avatar_1.gif to work.

Ozzy what wold make it just say "members avatar" instead of showing image?
