How to get back Traffic to my forum?

Hi there, recently I had changed my 2 year old domain name to a new one. all most My forum is running fine but I lost my traffic from 3k daily visits to 1k. Also it has been effected adsense/google bots, baidu, bingbot etc... What might be the cause and what steps to be taken to boost up my forum's traffic?

I need your valuable help and advice in this regard.

Most of that traffic may have been crawlers.

Make sure your robots.txt is up-to-date.

It will take a few months for google to like you again.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have done it already. But I lost the traffic from search engines like google and bing, baidu etc... Before to dat there was 2-3k guest visits per day. But now it may be max 1k.

if all data is same except the domain , then u can redirect all traffic from old to new by putting / in the last

Generate one sitemap.xml from admincp

Submit it into google webmaster as soon as possible

and if u know any search enginer submission tool then do as well.

And wait for sometime all new domain are taking time to get indexed.

Good Luck for u.

Hm. :)

That's a little drastic but it should keep the well-behaved crawlers out of your forums.
