Serious Problem Need Help! :(
Hey Guys My forum's 1 Table crashed db_link.back and i did dropped the table after that i needed to uninstall the vBseo and then i was able to take backup...
but now when i install fresh copy of vBSeo it Show me: [26-Aug-2013 23:56:37 UTC] PHP Strict Standards: Non-static method vBSEO_Storage::path() should not be called statically in /home/xxxx/public_html/vbseo/includes/functions_vbseo_pre.php on line 279 Can someone tell me how to fix this issue? Need Help from experts.... |
Using Google, shortening the entire error I was able to locate this many times over on the vBSEO forums. You need to ask for help there since you uninstalled then reinstalled or simply uninstall it altogether.
|
Can you please tell me where problem exactly is?
maybe i can google it and get some help... |
VbSEO isnt fully compatible with PhP 5.4, it would be best to downgrade to PhP 5.3, as VbSEO is basically dead, you could get a coder to update it, but i would agree, uninstall VbSEO completely.
|
But guys when i had vBSeo i was getting a lot of traffic but now its decreased like 300% in 3 Days :(
please let me know about the issue! |
If you really feel you need vBSeo then you should do as snakes1100 suggested, VbSEO isnt fully compatible with PhP 5.4, it would be best to downgrade to PhP 5.3
|
And if i do so i will lose anything i mean posts, threads or anything else???
|
No, downgrading php should not affect the posts. It is still a good idea to take a backup before making changes though.
|
I've just downgraded to 5.3 And now trying...
I'll let you know what happened :) |
It should work, and your forums should run better also, as vB4 really is not supported in PHP 5.4
|
Its vB3 :)
|
Ahh, ok did not know that. :)

You should NOT repair tables that are not crashed, and you shouldn't optimize tables unless you've hard deleted lots of data from them. You could in theory destroy a table by repairing it when it doesn't need it.
Optimize does not function on any innodb tables unless the software is storing each unique innodb table as a file, which is uncommon. If you're upset/annoyed at the "Overhead" displayed by innodb tables, I'd suggest getting over it. There is a tiny bug and we don't calculate overhead correctly for innodb, instead we show the entire innodb cluster files size. That means what you see as overhead is the total overhead for every single innodb table for an entire MySQL server, not your database. |
well, i couldn't understand but that mean's i don't need to optimize and repair these tables???
|
Correct, there should be no reason to optimize and repair tables unless you've hard deleted lots of data from them.
|
Ok, I won't :)
And Dude I've got another problem :( There is some problem with seo maybe.... The URL Shown On Forum last Post is: http://www.xxxxxx.com/forum-name/328...-new-post.html but when i click it, it redirects to: http://www.xxxxxxxx.com/showthread.php?p=[threadid]#[postid] Is there something to fix it? |
No, they are InnoDB tables, do not run repairs on tables that arent crashed, as stated previously, run a optimization on NON-crashed tables if they have over head.
