URGENT: Can not login and want to change/edit style
 

How can I edit style or change the used one to other using ftp?
I can not login to my forum because I added some wrong code and want to fix it !

You cannot do it as suggested, you'd need to upload the tools.php that came with your downloaded copy of vbulletin in the "do not upload folder", you can then gain access to your admincp (in fact even if you have changed a templates code so you cannot login you should still be able to login to www.mysite.com/forum/admincp/index.php and then create a default style with no parent.

when try to open admincp/tools.php it gives server error
the problem is the files global.js and yUI files are not loading

Did you try just going directly to your /admincp as Simon suggested?

yes, after log in it gives that I used all trying options and must wait 15 minutes
this is due to global.js and YUI are not loading properly, I want to log in to make them load

or is there any way using ftp to add a file to source code? I will add YUI files just once and login using that page !

It makes no sense that some files won't load in your admincp because of something you did to your site style. Are you sure that is what is causing the issue?

I would suggest reuploading all default files. You should NOT be getting errors like that when trying to get to your tools.php file.

Do you keep a default style on your site (you should)?If so, you can add &styleid=xx to the end of the URL to use the default style.

I disabled sessions from style long time ago
when I remove the YUI or globals this problem happen
I did not change anything recently except that !
the other style installed is as the default but under name mobile api
what to write in url &styleid= number or name? I can not exactly remember name it was like vbulletin mobile API

if i use tools.php same problem with customer number !!
I enter custom number then I choose [Reset Cookie Domain] and then asked to enter customer number again ! and so on !

tools.php is not affected AT ALL by your site style or any modifications at all. It could be affected by any modified files it calls.

You can find your styleids in your database - table: style and look at the styleids listed there.

I think your hosting service upgraded to a newer version of PHP and your old code needs an earlier version.

Certainly sounds like it. What version of vbulletin are you using and what version of php?

I asked my host (Dynaceron) and he managed to log in and to put the YUI js back in head
I was then able to log in !

If "HE" managed to login then so you could!!! if it's keeping you out of admincp it would keep him out!

Which one was it? either he magically was able to log in and replace the code he "said" he did or he sorted out your dns? if it was the latter and he said he'd done the former i'd be inclined to find a host that doesn't lie to me when it's their problem!

Also none of the solutions which you said have taken place would have fixed your deprecated errors, they are purely down to a different version of php or mysql!

to clear it out, I am responsible for the dns change, I use google page speed just fine, when I use www cname record back to nmisr.com. this error happen

The host did manage ( i do not know how) to login to admin cp even I was on dns nmisr.com., after he made the necessary changes (put YUI in headinclude) I was also able to login even on this dns

PHP 5.4.x will only work with the latest version(s) of vbulletin, you'll need to ask your host to roll back to php 5.3.x for your forum and most probably the modifications to work properly.

It looks like your host upgraded your PHP. Of the vB3 series, only 3.8.8 is compatible with PHP5.4

I finally managed to solve this problem
I should be using .nmisr.com in vbulletn settings for cookie path domain instead of blank !

I will downgrade any way the php to prevent any future problems

IMPORTANT UPDATE :
the problem was not the cookie path domain
It was due to an edit in class_core.php that I made to use the real ip of visitor with Page speed service from Google...
re-uploading class_core.php solved the problem and all other mysteries I was having :)
