Please have your system admin check out the error_log file on your server - some systems have it located in /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log though this can vary.

OK so I removed that arcade thing because it doesn't work on my forum but now I am stock with this tab....how do I remove that also?

Hi, where do I get the games?

Import Games under DBtech-vbarcade side panel

Hi there,
I would love to get this working on a forum I'm intending to upgrade later to vB5.x . I'm using 5.0.4 at the moment.

I installed following the instructions (now actually for the 4th time after restoring) but when I click on the Arcade option, it's just showing me the forum index again (but without the usual 'NEW TOPICS
WHO'S ONLINE
MARK CHANNELS READ
MEMBER LIST' at the top before the Forum Index is shown.

Any ideas please?

I was thinking maybe it's something to do with a mod rewrite type thing / route parameter thing but I still can't find it. Alternatively, maybe I'm missing a file.

I hope you can suggest some other things I can look into.

I am currently in the process of re-testing our mods for 5.0.4 compatibility.

Meanwhile, you may be able to fix it by clicking Repair Cache in the AdminCP - that will install the necessary elements on the page.

Thanks very much for your reply.

I did try the Repair Cache on the AdminCP for the Arcade and I tried the Clear System Cache but unfortunately, it still shows the forum.

Incidentally, it's installed on a subdomain rather than www. (just in case that makes a difference).

OK .. Also, whilst I can Import games via the AdminCP, again if I attempt to play one (from the AdminCP) it gives me a

'Topic not found. You may have followed an invalid link or the topic may have been deleted or moved to another forum.' error

which makes me think something about reading the URL is not working correctly.

Anyway, of course I'l happily wait for your update.

Thanks Fillip. The arcade page now shows correctly.

However, now when I submit a score (from an IBProArcade game at least) / when the game ends (I tried a few different games all from a previous IBProArcade install) and when the page returns it says that "You appear to be playing a game; starting this might forfeit that session."

I checked the 'sessions' table and it only showed the 'start' time. If I click 'Cancel Session' after - it does update the sessions table, but it's not recording any scores.

I tried quickly looking for a game from Mochi that I could submit a local score (I assume that's what it means, but I couldn't see anything that submitted a score - or possibly the game was, but it wasn't working for some reason).

Here are few recent log entries. I hope these might help discover why the scores are not being submitted.

When you import games, there should be a small message and a golden crown that says "Supports local scoring" if the game does indeed support it.

By default, Notices are suppressed - what version of PHP are you running? Does it hide the notices if you change the default error_reporting level to E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT ?

I'm using games supporting local scoring. Scores are not really saved locally.

Are we going to see an update for the arcade in vb5.0.5..After install the highscore games imported fine all permissions set correctly,games play fine from admincp.However.

• Frontend the links to play the games follow the path www.yoursite.com/#
• Gamescores won't submit.
• After playing a game all you can do is click on cancel session.

Be nice to see the arcade being looked after and kept updated promptly seeing that this will probably be the only arcade available for vb5.Being the arcades in vbulletin are one of the oldest modifications,priority should be paramount as opposed to other mods and obviously in the interest of DBTech..

Please remain patient while I am currently bogged down with other projects. I will be looking into updating our vB5 mods for 5.0.5 as soon as I have the time.

I get has an error message when adding games from mochi. also when you click "play" on the forum the website reroute you to /# from the website.

The vB5 version of vBArcade hasn't been made compatible with the latest version of vB5 yet, sorry :(

do i have to subscribe first to get game service from others?

You always do a good job with mods DragonByte.

I wanted to request in your future versions a modification similar to VBexperience but for vb5.

I was wanting to implement an award system but can't find any mods for it.

You can manually upload games from more providers, but automatic game importers are mostly Pro-only :)

I understand that it is uncomfortable to change the plugin code whenever vBulletin make radical changes in their latest versions.

But as they come out new version of vBulletin I think I should update their plugins because these final versions of vBulletin is that we will work in the future.

You can try it, but if it don't work, it probably won't get updated till 5.1.4 is out of beta. It is difficult to support beta releases, as things may change and break it again.
