[DBTech] Default Staff Signature v1 (vB4)

1 Attachment(s)
Why use, Default Staff Signature?

Many professional websites such as vBSEO, have a default staff signature, that displays along with the staffs personal signature. If you are running any type of website, it is a good idea to have all your administrators and moderators have the same signature. It can only be changed from within the ACP, so it will be the same for all staff.

You have two options to show the default staff signature, via a option in the settings (which is not translatable), or a phrase (which is translatable).

Please can add option for Separate Signature show Administrators,Super Moderators and Moderators?

DragonByte Tech 06-08-2013 04:38 PM

That would be kinda difficult to do, as many sites have different groups for staff.

Probably you could make it with additional options, where we choose which usergroup(s) will have this custom signature and if they display global signature, of all staff usergroups. And have for example 2 or 3 these custom signatures.

Just as an idea. I know this changes code a lot.

Nirjonadda 06-09-2013 09:01 AM

Also can you add option for Default Signature for all Usergroup?

Ex: Signature Always Enable with Default Text

DragonByte Tech 06-09-2013 09:11 AM

That would go outside the scope of the mod, this is for staff, not all usergroups. But we'll see about it's plausibility in future versions.

Can Add Option Signature Ignore System?

Ex: Signature Ignore System

John Lester 06-11-2013 09:21 AM

As I don't see the answer in this thread, does the staff signature ignore the signature limit placed on the user group(s)?

hoangserip 06-11-2013 09:38 AM

thanks :) install

It should ignore it, as it is built differently than the default signature.

Is it for all members in those usergroups or only some individuals?

For all of them :( Also when i remove Super Moderators from the selection, i dont see signature for others, only Admin signature shows up.

v1.0.1 fixes a issue where if multiple staff members replied in a thread in succession, there would be extra line breaks that would show up, for each post.

I believe I have this fixed in v1.0.2, please update to the latest version.

Chris

v1.0.2 fixes a issue where some staff groups, on some sites, the Default Staff Signature would not show up.

Hi,

Is there any way we can show the default signature irrespective of whether the user enabled the signature or not ?

DragonByte Tech 06-20-2013 08:35 PM

Not at this time, I don't know if it is possible, due to the signature needing to be displayed in order to activate the required hooks.
