facebook login option dissappeared
I got the facebook login option to show up. I have the 2 click option set... It displayed once, but I did not have the domain properly set up with facebook developer. I set that up correctly and then went back and tested across multiple browsers and the facebook login option does not show up. Tried it on another computer as well. http://www.goldfindersforum.com

I see the Facebook Option when I click the Login dropdown.

Weird. I don't see it on my computer or my friends next to me, maybe it is a cache thing. I will try another computer. Another problem....
When I click on 'register', it takes me to a page not found type error page.... I should have never upgraded VB... http://www.goldfindersforum.com/register.php |
Your guest notice is out of date.

Should that fix the problem then? Also, is there a 1 click facebook log in? Or does the person still have to register?
Thanks! |
Your register page is here - http://www.goldfindersforum.com/register (no .php on the end)

is there a 1 click facebook log in, or do you have to make a username and password to join?
--------------- Added [DATE]1369752886[/DATE] at [TIME]1369752886[/TIME] --------------- Does this feature work? Enable Auto-Register: Enabling this option will allow user to skip the registration form, and register through a simplified two-click process. Note: Using this feature will disable Forum Rules Agreement, Coppa registration, email verification, as well as any custom required fields from the registration form. |
If they go to the registration form, then they may choose to either login via Facebook or to fill out the form. They may want to use their own username instead of their real name to register.

ok. So when someone comes to my website and they select to 'log in with facebook', that takes them to a registration page. the 'auto-register' note says they can skip the registration form how can I get it to skip the registration form since mine takes them directly to it? I would like to use the 'simplified two-click process' Thank you! |
This is the modifications forum, not the official vBulletin support forum.
You can't have any required profile fields that don't auto-fill from facebook, if you want auto-register to work. However auto-register will force the REAL name on them. |
Thanks for helping me then, I shouldn't be complaining here then.
I got rid of all the extra fields, bio, etc... so nothing was being imported. But I still get registration form with just their email filled in and their name (with a space between first and last name) So a password is still needed click to agree to terms/etc.. my capcha Is this how the FB login works, just imports the email, no photo/etc? |
If you go to the registration page, you will see a full registration form. If a user just clicks the little Facebook icon in the Login dropdown, they will get a popup window and be able to simply click to login via Facebook. But, as Zachery says, they will get logged using their REAL name and not have the option to change it to some other username.
