is there a way to set this just for there 1st post only, because i doubt i would be able to keep new people posting if they had to do this everytime until they moved up a group

mitch84 05-20-2013 09:22 AM

this feature can be attributed to a particular group?

Yes.

leejohn02 05-22-2013 09:22 AM

since most spammers will only come on and post mayb 1 or 2 messages, i only want it to ask the question for the 1st time they post, after they have done it the first time, i dont want them to have to repeat it over and over again

Now, you can fix it:

- step 1: open admincp -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager, find:

Code:

Anti-spam - Reload anti-spam enable
- step 2: deselect it and Save Active status

done!

Works fine on normal templates, but template edits don't seem to work on mobile styles. Any ideas?

Jurg 05-26-2013 09:50 AM

Also appears to be case sensitive - any way to make it not so?

it looks interesting, anybody tested this on vb 4.2.2 ?

Why even let the spammers get that far, just stop them from even registering.

That and, annoy legitimate users with the Q&A after they've registered?

X-or 09-24-2014 08:49 PM

^if this works on per usergroup basis, you can use a group promo, after a successful post users are promoted to a group where this is no longer needed

but my concern is that {vb:raw ad_location.antispam} you want us to add in templates
if this is for external ads, then you should flag this mod with external content warning and not waste our time

*snicker. Gotta love the "anti-spam mod" that sets you up for, spam.

ozzy47 09-24-2014 09:10 PM

I think that is just a way for the mod to be added where it needs to be. But like I said, no need to let the spammers get this far, stop them from registering, Stop Spam Now The era of Big Spam is over.
