Nav Bar links as Forums
Hello i wonder if anyone can help me, I'm a total newbie with Vbulletin, and i am trying to create some tabs for across the top, not particularly like these at www.vwt4forum.co.uk
but need the same functionality, ie going to different forum sections, and only displaying that forum section at a time, is this easy enough to do in the standard top bar of vbulletin (navigation manager) i've looked at different mods but i think just calling the individual board on its own would be the easiest method. What will the tabs be called and a link to your forums will help
|
the forums are called www.dubsevolution.co.uk and the tabs will be models of volkswagen car names, ie POLO, GOLF, SHARAN,and other models a similar type of site to the one above to do with volkswagens

If you have Skype pm me will help you

Looking at this again i think the main site rather than having a forum homepage, is just using the nav links to separate different sections within the forum itself..

Added u to Skype still waiting for you to confirm it

You may like what I have done here www.talkoftheterrace.net
Each of the large images under the navbar links to the relevant section, that is quite easy to do |
very well done spangle was going to help him even added him to skype but he has not confirmed it so not deleted have no time to wait for someone who does not have the time to confirm

sorry ForceHSS, well lets see, one shared hosting account going down, twenty odd clients going nuts, that their sites aren't resolving and a web designer that is after charging me 400 bucks because someone deleted his website by mistake(the hosting company).... i've been busy to say the least, and i am sorry if i didn't confirm with you. this site is going to be my own and i haven't got that much of a responsibility with it, as some of the other sites that belong to clients that come first.
so i do sincerely apologise for not getting back to you. All that being said, i have worked out how to use Vbulletin a bit more and worked out that the navbar tabs are controlled in the navigation section of the control panel so i am getting there, the one answer i need is the tabs on the site i showed the link for above, are obviously linking to various forums as the links show various forum display links, is there a way of hiding a particular board or forum, until its linked directly, and not in the main index. thank you AL SB:db |
Hide from what group or all groups. If hidden then it will never be seen not sure what you mean there

Hi ForceHSS,
i dont really know, all i see when i click on the various tabs for example it says /forumdisplay.php?f=146 /forumdisplay.php?f=147 /forumdisplay.php?f=294 and it shows those relevant forums when you click on the tabs, the bit i dont get is because those particular forums dont show up in the main index of the site, are they hidden off the main page or can you just assign different forums to different tabs, eg display main forum on tab 1 another sub forum on tab 2 etc, do you understand what i mean now.. Thanks Alan |
