[DBTech] vBSearch Log v1 (vB4)

1 Attachment(s)
Why use, vBSearch Log?
Myself, as alot of members on here, have at times wanted to know what the members or guests are searching for on our sites. vBSearch Log logs every search query made on your forum after installation. Useful to see what the members or guests are searching for on our sites.

Lets say you run a site that is about cars. You look in the search log and see that there is quite a few searches for Corvette Stingray. Now you look on your forums and see there is not to much information about Corvette Stingray. So what you could do is find some info to post in your forums about that.

Lets say you run a site that is about gaming. You look in the search log and see that there is quite a few searches for Borderlands 2. Now you look on your forums and see there is not to much information about Borderlands 2. So what you could do is find some info to post in your forums about that.

So in theory, by adding missing information about such things should, retain your existing members and get guests to register, cause members and guests found what they are looking for, and have no need to go look elsewhere.

It should not be that difficult, I'll look into it when I get some free time.

Sorted, uninstall the mod, redownload the files and proceed as a fresh install. I dunno how it was missing the install but it was.

I get an Internal Server Error when clicking on the tab in the Admin CP.

What's the error?

I'm getting this:

PHP Code:

/admincp/dbtech_search_log.php" is writeable by group, referer: http://www.domain.com/admincp/index.php?do=nav

Elixar 10-28-2015 07:45 PM

Bump.

muffel 05-08-2017 04:12 AM

I am only getting an empty page, when I click on the "search log" Link in the AdminCP... I installed this mod to VB 4.2.3. Any ideas?
With "empty" - I mean there is still the admin cp page, and also the title "DBTech Search Log" but nothing else on this page.

Were there additional files packaged with the product that need to be uploaded to your server (I've never installed this myself, so I don't know, but I suspect there are)? If so, did you upload them to the correct place?

muffel 05-09-2017 03:01 AM

I uploaded the complete "UPLOAD" folder - yes.

Make sure you are listed in the config.php as a superadmin

muffel 05-09-2017 11:41 AM

Hello KevinL,

thank you for your answer - yes - I am listed there as superadmin. Has anyone installed it on Version 4.2.3 - and has maybe the same problem?

Thank you!

KevinL 05-10-2017 09:42 AM

Are you also added to the section 'can view logs' in the config?
