I was wondering if anyone know how to organize smilies into categories that the user can pick from.

how it is regularly:

this would be helpful to ppl using your site, escpecially if you are like me and have hundreds of smilies.

It would also be helpful if the categories could all be setup and organized via the admin console.

I dont really know how hard this would be but I know it would be a very good hack to have. It should not be much harder than the smilie organization hack by FireFly.

About the hack.
It looks interesting, but I'm wondering what would happen if I click Signs for instant?

if you clicked it the exact samer thing would happen if you clciked more smiles on the original version, a list of smiles in the category you picked would pop up, in this case, all the smiles that are in the category "signs" would pop up

And to the liscense, i dont own the copy i run, a friend of mine bought it, and i just admin it and apply the hacks to it.

umm that sounds interesting and I think its a great idea, but I am not going to support it if someone is going to use an illegal copy of VB

damn this sucks cause i would really like this on my forum.

can i request this through email? since the one guy is not entering his licensing info?

also what is being done to those that are not paying for vbulletin and using it illegally?

Make it a little Java page there and pop up all the Signs Category...not too hard, just like all things and you need to know ur Java

Let's get hellsatan to create this one for us ...... it can't be that hard, eh??? :cheeky:

Besides, there's already a hack using a similar idea to arrange our avatars into categories - and that works great. So many of the same details should apply.

As for vB3 ..... you guys need to slow down! You're getting too much accomplished and, probably, having way too much fun playing around with your (our) new toy ........ hehe.

Won't be able to switch over to vB3, anyway. I'm not done hacking up 2.2.6!!
