Thank you nhawk dude.
I will like to request more extension in this mod. Such as, move thread to certain forum on completion.
I hope you can make it done.

Sven Voet 02-20-2013 01:46 PM

Is it possible to Use this Mod with the original Threadprefixes? So that there is only one Status, instead of two...

Thread prefixes aren't status messages. So, no it's not possible to do what you want to do.

I don't understand what you're saying.

If you clear the status, the thread re-opens.

If you change the status to a different status that doesn't close the thread, it re-opens.

Nirjonadda 02-20-2013 06:05 PM

when Closed Thread change the status it re-opens,why Closed Thread change the status it re-opens?

Because you have the status you're changing it to set to not close the thread when it is selected.

I don't understand what you're asking.

There is an option to clear the status.

If you don't want an option to appear, delete it from settings.

Nirjonadda 02-21-2013 11:27 AM

Thread Status Marked Without Clickable.

The thread status becomes part of the thread title so you can't make it unclickable.

Alan_SP 02-25-2013 04:54 PM

Could it be possible to have different thread statuses for different forums?

And if yes, options to setup them in front end of each forum would be great, really.

LOL, the pro version that allows this is being beta tested on my site at this very moment.

As it stands now, these are the features of the Pro version...

- Unlimited status definitions
- Define the forum each status definition is used in. (as opposed to a global setting in the free version)
- Define if the thread starter can change the status for each definition. (as opposed to a global setting in the free version)
- Define a usergroup that can change each status definition. (as opposed to a global setting in the free version)
- Define a usergroup that can see each status definition. (as opposed to a global setting in the free version)

Users can only clear statuses that they can set.

Example:
Status A has 'Thread Starter Can Change' set to 'No' and only UsergroupX can set this status.

Status B has 'Thread Starter Can Change' set to 'Yes' and the thread starter is in UsergroupY.

The thread starter will only be able to clear Status B.

So if a member in UsergroupX sets Status A, the thread starter won't be able to clear it and no status
options will be available to the thread starter.

Yes, it does what I asked for.

Bluefin221 03-16-2013 06:37 PM

No idea why but it doesn't work for me, I set up two options, then four options, set the usergroups who could see it, set the forums you could see it on, I even deleted my thread prefixes to make sure it wasn't them that was clashing. Does this mod clash with any other mod (known to).

Had a play around, it works in the vb default theme and also works in another theme I use, however it doesn't work in the forums theme I have selected, is there manual edits I can make so that it works properly in my theme?

psd_hunter 03-16-2013 06:59 PM

Works perfect in 4.2.0
Great and very useful AdOn! Thanks a ton to the Coder(s):)

At this time, there aren't any known clashes with other mods.

So far as the theme you have, thread status looks for this specific code in the following templates...

SHOWTHREAD template :
Code:

<span class="threadtitle"><a href="{vb:raw thread_url}" title="{vb:rawphrase reload_this_page}">{vb:raw threadinfo.title}</a></span>
Code:

h6><a class="popupctrl" href="javascript://">{vb:rawphrase thread_tools}</a></h6>
                                <ul class="popupbody popuphover">

FORUMDISPLAY template:
Code:

<option value="title" {vb:raw sort.title}>{vb:rawphrase thread_title}</option>
If those specific lines of code aren't in your templates, then thread status won't work.

I've just checked all of these are within the appropriate places so it must be clashing with a mod, I will report back when I find out which one it is. It can't be a mod as it works on every other template so its template specific, I have never edited those files though so I'm unsure what I should be looking for.

The code I gave must be exactly as shown. If there is a missing space, or any different at all then it won't work.

Damn, my:

Code:

<h6><a class="popupctrl" href="javascript://">{vb:rawphrase thread_tools}</a></h6>
                                <ul class="popupbody popuphover">

Had 4 spaces in front of it, removed them and it works perfectly.

If you're coming into my site by proxy or through a server site, it may send you to Google. Use your actual provider to access my site.

I don't understand. What are you talking about?

There are no manual edits required with this mod.

Anybody using this with 422?

nhawk 10-17-2013 09:54 AM

The pro version is running on my site and it's running 4.2.2

Tim Wheatley 10-17-2013 09:45 PM

Thank you!

Glenn379 11-18-2013 05:05 AM

It would be really great to use this from the forums menu as well as the thread. Then one could mass approve, deny, and what have you in one place.

Thoughts?

Grrrendel 11-09-2015 09:01 AM

I would like to see the status-changes in my moderator log, any idea how to activate this? (great mod btw)

Sorry, that isn't possible with this add-on.

Grrrendel 11-25-2015 02:26 PM

Ok, it wasn't that important anyway. :D May I ask you another question: would it be possible to show the status in search_threadbits as well?

Again, that's not possible with this add-on.

Grrrendel 11-26-2015 12:28 PM

Thanks for the quick reply. :)
(I did it with a dirty template-edit but of course that's not as nice as adding it to your add-on.)
