Publish to Facebook not working
 

Hello,

When I go to publish an article, it allows me to publish to facebook as well. I click on that and it tells me to log into facebook. I sign in with a user account. And then it asks me if the site can publish article on my behalf. I select yes. It seems like it goes through except when i go to my site's facebook page, it says "sorry we got confused" and nothing happens.

What am i doing wrong? I am trying to get the articles that i publish on my site to show up on my site's facebook page as well.

Any suggestions? Am I suppose to set up any kind of settings on the user account to connect it to my site's facebook page???

Did you add the right app id in the settings in your panel

You mean the Facebook application id? Yes I have that set up.

You need to create a app on Facebook.
Go to https://developers.facebook.com and on the top right, you can see apps.
When you enter you start to create your app. Then follow all the step, you'll see
App id
App secret

Copy and past inside you vbulletin at the Facebook Setting page.

You'll see then is working.

Just to clarify. I already have the app made and facebook settings set up. My problem is that when I want to publish an article to my sites facebook page it doesnt do it. It only will publish to my personal Facebook page.

I want to get my articles to only be published to my sites facebook page and not my personal page.

That is a bug with facebook. There is an issue in Jira for it and a fix posted there. http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-15615

I followed the fix and it still doesn't work for me? :confused:

For the record since my post have tested several times over and fix didn't work for whatever reason.

If anybody had another fix, they would have posted it in the bug report.

Well the other must "think" it's working then but it's really not. I even did a test after reading your reply. Didn't work.

I did indeed upload the 3 files from the src folder.

All that is needed is to update the source from Facebook, unless your testing with IE. I would start by using your browser's console and looking for JavaScript errors. Make sure you disable your hooks so that a third party plugin is not interfering while testing. Good Luck :)

Same Problem here vb 4.2.0 PL3. Publish to facebook and like button gone! fconnect is visible and forking fine. I uploaded 3 files fron src but nothing change. I enabled all facebook option from Cpanel but still not working. please advice how to fix.

did you find any solution to publish on facebook page ?not on your personal wall
