Show resend activation email option in UserCP

1 Attachment(s)
This mod integrates the register.php?do=requestemail page into the main settings page for all users awaiting email activation. This is helpful if your forum requires email confirmation before users receive full member privileges.

How it works:
The plugin inserts a modified activate_requestemail template into the UserCP if the user belongs to usergroup #3. This submits the standard request form back for processing by the server.

Customisable:
  • Fully phrased for quick translation.

Installation:
  1. Product only, upload in the AdminCP plugin manager and you're done!

Support:
Zero.

Admin CP > Plugins & Products > Add New Product > Import Product

Get error on vB 4.1.10, How to Installation ?

The following dependencies were not met:

This product is not compatible with version 4.1.10 of vBulletin. (Compatible starting with 4.1.99)

I don't have a forum below 4.2.0 to test on, so I set that as a dependency. If you want, you can remove that dependency from within AdminCP by going to the product manager, clicking go alongside the edit dropdown and selecting the delete checkbox beside the vBulletin row. You could alternatively edit the xml file and remove the entire eleventh line, beginning with <dependency dependencytype="vbulletin". Really, there's no reason why it then shouldn't work, but I decided to err on the side of caution and mark it as 4.2.x. If anyone can confirm it works on versions below that I'll lower the dependency and patch the script :)

Works great 4.2 PL3.

Testing this, and does the mod automatically update the members email in the system to the one they enter in the resend box? Or does the resend box not allow it to enter, just shows uneditable the email addy entered in normal settings?

The text box is readonly, so users can see which address their email will be sent to. Editing is a click away under the "edit email and password" link in the left menu.

Thanks.

Can I add a phrase right after...
Quote:

To request for your activation code to be resent to you by email, please check your registered email address in the box above then submit the form.
...that says "CLICK HERE to change your email address." ... with the click here being a hyperlink to "/profile.php?do=editpassword"?

Diggo11 03-28-2013 02:08 AM

Sure, just edit the existing phrase would probably do. The phrase name is user_sar_request_activation_code_resend.

Thanks !!

Worked Perfectly.
