New: Youtube in Profile (Share this video(link)) or (Page url) left side.

Version #4 Has the option to show two videos..
Plus the newest option: You can use the Youtube share this link or use Youtube page url

This will put a mini youtube player/players in members profile,, (left side)..
It uses the Youtube Share this video (link)..
or
It can use the Youtube Page url..

To Install..

If you have an older version: Please Uninstall it before installing version #4..

Then:
Upload the includes/xml/cpnav_mini_youtube.xml file..

[Add/Import Product] : product-new_youtube_profile.xml

2 Admincp options..

Look for Mini Youtube in Profile in the admincp menu on the left..

#1 Mini Youtube Active Yes / No

#2 Youtube URL Option Share / Page
You can change the URL from Youtube`s share this video to Youtube`s Page URL.

#3 Youtube Usergroup Permissions
Comma separated list of usergroups which members are allowed to view the Youtube Player..
1,2,5,6,7 are default settings..

Thats all...:)

For the members settings:

Settings >> Look below My Account for Edit Youtube Options..
Edit Player 1
*YouTube Title,
*Share this video Link or Page url,
*Youtube Menu Color,
*YouTube Auto Start,
*Youtube Location

Edit Player 2
*YouTube Title,
*Share this video Link or Page url

I had a lot of members asking for a easier Youtube in profile mod to install...
It doesnt get easier then this mod..
and
Your members only have to put in the Share this video (link) for it to work..
The other options they can set of just leave alone..

This says that player is to small when most links are added. Was working great though.

I get this issue alot,maybe 7 out of 10 will give that message.

Updated to fix the (Video player is too small)..

If you already have version #1 installed..

[Add/Import Product] : product-new_youtube_profile.xml

Before you Import the Product make sure you have the Allow Overwrite checked YES..

2 requests... Can we make it so they can just use the video url, not the share url? Also, can it be made so that the settings are found under "my profile" as opposed to "my account"?

I think the (Share this link) is easier..

For the My Profile,,would a Youtube Options tab work ??

I'm receiving an error in the Edit Youtube Options when attempting to save changes.

Same here, error after upgrading to Ver. 3 with either 1 or 2 videos.

Disabled as of right now.

Use version #2 for now until I get that fixed..

I`ve got anther option,, I want to add for version #4..

Request: YouTube Title option to allow BBcode perhaps by usergroup

I would like to allow usergroups to use BBcode when entering the YouTube Title

It's not showing in "My Account" in my profile, nothing,nada,zip, zilch

OK, just figgured out that the share/link url option is in acp.

Appreciate that.

For the future, you ought to add a mechanism that automatically accepts either option when url is pasted into the settings url field.

Hey goxy63, Wow...that one is an old vb version...if you are running vb 4.2 I would uninstall that one and install new version. ;)

Accept either url,, I dont think it will work the way this mod is coded..

I like the Share link but some like the page url..Thats why I added the admincp option..

Two different mods..
You should be able to have them both installed..
If not,,just uninstall one..

Thank you so much for this. I would like to request an Admin option for the first video to be set to auto-play by default: yes/no.

My preference would be for the auto-play option to be 'yes' by default.

think its better to keep modification as simple as possible, but thats just me
