Christmas and New year 2013 skin for vB3.8.7

1 Attachment(s)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2013 from Minerskinz Team

We understand many vB users are still using 3.8x version and awaiting vB5 eagerly, so we thought of updating our Christmas 2009 theme to 3.8x and changed our New year images which comes along with this theme to 2013 to celebrate the coming new year 2013!

Yes install the Christmas themes until 25th Dec12 and just upload the Newyear2013 images into the Christmas images folder and the header, footer and icons changes to New year theme, so download the theme below and celebrate with your community.

Psd for the logo and buttons zipped along the theme file and if you need any graphical help, please let us know by posting in our forums here.

Thank you for the support.

EDIT: This theme is now available for vB4.2 version here

Would this skin work on vB 4.2.0 as my members loved this theme last time we used it?

Yes we are working with this and will be available for vB4.2 by end of this month or 1st week of Dec12.

You can view mock up of 4.2 here.

Also this design will be coded as semi responsive skin for details read here.

Thanks.

Very nice skin miner!

Snakke 12-02-2012 08:24 PM

Everyone made it work, right? Except the neewbie?

What happens to me is that I download the zip. Unwrap it. Upload the christmas_2012 to the server, then I open admincp and upload the xml from my computer. But then it seems someone expects me to be some sort of computer genious - I get a page with all sorts of things on it. (It says that all things changed by the style is marked with a red color.) I scroll to the bottom - click save - but the forum still looks like November.

Where am I missing out the genious part here?

Lynne 12-02-2012 11:04 PM

Wow, very nice - Thank You! I have a 3.8. site and was just thinking I was going to have to use the same Christmas style that I have used for the last several years because I just never see new Christmas styles. So, my members will thank you for a new style this year. :)

Have you ever uploaded a style before? Perhaps take a look at the manual here - http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/style_upload (you may need to select the correct version in the upper left corner)

Load the christmas_2012 to forums > images/styles/ folder normally you have to create a folder named 'styles' inside the images folder and then load the theme file.

@Kolektor
As you are using 3.8.2, then you should use this file from here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=229331

killerkraft 12-07-2012 10:00 PM

miner, it is strange i use 3.8.7 with the last update and it gave me the same error as with Kolektor

What can i do to try and correct?

EDIT : I tried the version you suggested to Kolektor and the same error

miner 12-08-2012 05:04 AM

Try adding valign="top" in below code at footer template.

<td valign="top"><img src="images/styles/christmas_2012/misc/right.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></td>

Let me know the progress or provide me link to your forums where you installed this theme.

Thanks.

Mecho 12-08-2012 08:13 AM

Appreciate it Miner ,

i'm using this theme for several years not and really happy to see an officially update.

Thank you

killerkraft 12-08-2012 03:24 PM

@miner,

Well I tried what you advice but no difference, still the same error.

Maybe some mod I am using, we never know.

Let me check everything and I will come back to you.

miner 12-09-2012 02:06 PM

@KillerKrat

Yes please update me and thanks for doing this.

Black Tiger 12-19-2012 02:45 AM

I'm going to try this, hopefully vBA CMPS and some mods will not pull it apart.
Thanks!

Kolektor 12-25-2012 10:42 AM

I was checking the xml of new year skin. Is it there?

No xml file with the new year pack, as all you need to do is load the new year images just over write to the server into the Christmas theme and it will change to new year.

Just image change will do to make it into new year theme.

rkhyd 12-27-2012 04:21 PM

Thank You for the themes..

Mr. Burns 12-12-2013 01:19 PM

Anything new expected for 2014?

Mecho 12-24-2014 12:14 PM

Anyone have the "NEW YEAR" of this theme for 4.2.2 ???

Thanks

ozzy47 12-24-2014 12:50 PM
