AJAX Threads: What is it?
AJAX Threads brings your threads alive, making them automatically refresh without needing to reload the page.

Uses

AJAX Threads is the ideal product for forums with busy threads or which deal with any sort of "event" be that TV shows, sports or game releases!
AJAX Threads allows you to make topics "auto update" without the user having to refresh. This can give performance benefits when applied to threads which receive a lot of refresh requests, and can increase user participation.
You can set whole forums to have their threads be live automatically. You can even allow only VIP usergroups to have threads refresh automatically to increase subscription numbers.

Major Features
Automatically Refresh Threads: Users will now see new posts in "real time" without having to refresh the page

Performance Benefits: If your forum receives lots of refresh requests on threads being posted in often this can put a lot of strain on your server - AJAX Threads will greatly reduce server resources used in those situations by refreshing only the minimum information required.

Total Control: You can set per forum auto-refresh controls. You can set particular usergroups to receive the benefit, and you can even have it apply automatically to popular threads!

I think vBulletin 5 is coming with this feature by default I remember that I saw a box notify me that there's a new posts.

Are you sure you're not using another mod that's providing that functionality? To my knowledge, it's not a stock feature.

That's a bug in vBulletin, turn your forum on in order to fix it :)

The devs are aware of it and will be fixing it in an upcoming version.

Installed on vb 5.0.2 and i have problem in it i cannot activate it in Button Management i click on active and after that click on save and its same not active

I have vb5.0.2, i upload files and import xml and this no work for me

I cannot troubleshoot something with just "this no work", sorry :(

Please provide more information.

Yes, sorry, I installed everything properly, but the mod does not work, everything continues as before, I do not see the answers of other users appears without refreshing the page.

The idea is very good, but this mod does not work, at least for me, or for the 5.0.2 version, you can test what is the problem?

FYI: For me, this mod will not allow blogs to load.

We're currently still in the process of testing our vB5 mods, so we have no new information thus far. Thank you for your patience :)

The modification is causing a pop-up warning message on nearly every new thread and post.
It's the red triangle warning with the text "AJAX Threads."
Can we fix this on our end or is it something we need to wait on an update to resolve?
This is a must-have mod when it functions correctly.

It might, though with all vB5 upgrades caution is advised, as they are not guaranteed to be backwards compatible with modifications made for earlier vB versions.

Has this been updated? I am thinking about installing it, and if it works making a full purchase. I am using VB 5.1.9.

Damn I thought this was a really nice idea for a mod for sure ... I installed on 5.2.1 but it's a no-go ... had to disable for the time being ... Really sweet idea though IMHO

I put out a hotfix that should resolve ACP issues.
