How to change to this postbit layout
http://imageshack.us/a/img838/7959/screenshotwx.png
Is it easy to change a theme that's been made by someone to have them look like this? Instead of in there own box's? Due to me having the profile at the top of posts instead of to the left I thought it would look better with the fields looking like the default. Is this possible? |
What do you mean "instead of in there own box's" [sic!] What does it currently look like (link please) and what do you want it to look like?
The information on the right
http://imageshack.us/a/img26/9302/screenvka.png I'm wanting to replace them box's to the default vbulletin style. or atleast small box's and text to fit more profile fields in. |
Have you tried just reverting the template (keep a copy just in case you don't like the results). The default style doesn't have those boxes around the information, so this is from your own custom style. If reverting it doesn't work, then I would suggest contacting the style designer for help.
What does reverting do?
Revert removes any changes you have done to that template and puts it back to the default template - or to the template from the parent style if it is a child (although the parent style could have a default template and so then the child would also).
k so this works but it changes loads.. I only want that postbit changing. It does change it perfect though.
Didn't you just revert the one postbit template?
I put a new style on my forum and pressed 'Revent all templates' for this theme. It didn't show anywhere that you could select one thing, it did it as a whole.
If you go to Style Manager > Edit Templates > double-click to open the Postbit templates > then you may highlight the template name and click Revert on the right side.
K so I've followed what you said and gone into the postbit templates but it's not letting me revent anything because it's saying that nothing has been changed.
Is it a child style or a parent style? If it's a child, then it is probably the parent template that has been edited.
You have already reverted the template when you reverted them all, so yes it will tell you that nothing has changed when you try to revert the single template in question.
No I put up another template.. totally different from what I have already up on our forum. And it's on it's own and not partnered with any other theme.
Can we get a link to view it?
What part are you wanting to view? We've been getting a lot of spammers in lately. Just put up the spam o matic mod so hopefully that stops a lot of spammers. We've also got a moderated group where all new members have to post three times before they can see the whole forum, this is also to stop the spammers which I did before the new mod.
I'm trying to get support on the layout from the theme creators but nowadays people just don't seem to give support when you have purchased an item from them. |
Doesn't anyone know how to change the quote image?
This is the first I have heard anything about a quote image. What quote image are you talking about? Most likely you can just make your own and replace the original image with your own (name it exactly the same and just write over it).

On here, it is a modification. I'm not sure we released one, but I have seen similar ones released, so do a search and you should find one.
I can't seem to find any mods regarding this.. How does a mod get created? or should I say how would this quote mod get created? Is it possible for someone to provide the coding and I design the graphics on how it looks?
A mod gets created when someone has an idea (or someone proposes an idea) and a coder thinks it sounds cools and he codes it. Or, if the request is made in the Paid Requests area, it gets done for the right price.
I understand that.. I was just wondering how a mod get's made? How do you start off? how do you learn, improve and get better? This sounds like a basic mod that just requires graphics change. I just thought it be easier to learn how to code it and then change the graphics.
Many learn by downloading existing mods and seeing how they are done.
