How to install:
========================================

1. Upload the content of 'upload_to_root' directory to your root.
2. Make sure that Plugin/Hook System is enabled, it is disabled by default.
3. Reload your site (twice) - this mod uses the Auto-Install feature.

Auto-Install it's a feature that allows vB5 to install addons automatically after all files uploaded.
There is no need to install xml manually anymore.

The mod removed since it wasn't updated for long time, and currently it is NOT working in the latest vB5 version.
I will re-upload the mod when I'll got the time to do the necessary changes.

this is not a chat, its a shout box, there is a big diffference between box

chat:
will allow you to select or interact with all users in a room

shout:
people posting random stuff on frontage or chosen page

in order to make this a chat, you will need to integrate who's online module, otherwise its technically a shout box

Maybe shoutbox is more popular term for this, but it's still a chat.
Your definition of chat is wrong (IMO), chat is app that allows you send messages and receive messages in real-time (live).

This looks awesome! I love the easy design, i'd like to see this mod on vb4..

There are still some options that I want finish for vB5 first,
And then I probably will have the time to make vB4 version.

I uploaded the core folder in my root, but i have not found any settings of the shoutbox o.o

Why?

Do you see the chat in the site?
If no, probably the auto-install doesn't worked.

If you do see the chat, but you don't see the settings,
Maybe you look in the wrong page.

Seems like the mod wasn't auto-installed, and that's why you don't see the chat and the settings.

Did you follow the install instructions?
The most important one is to enable the plugin system.

If that doesn't helped, try upload the plugin manually, just like in vB4.
You can find the plugin in "core/packages/RellectChat/xml/product_rellectchat.xml"

I have installed the product_rellectchat.xml via admincp

But, when i go in the site i have this infinite loading..

Yeah not working for me either. All I get is the loading in the shoutbox. The Auto-Installer didn't work for me either....had to manually import.

I will look into that.
So far I had no problems with auto-install of the chat, but it was in my local computer. Will have to check that in real server.

One question, does the chat works for you after you import the xml manually?

No....just shows loading and nothing else.

In my current web host I don't experience that problem.
It may take few days till I find host that I can reproduce the problem there.

If someone that have the problem would like to help and provide me access to his web host, it'll be very appreciated.

Prehaps is an AJAX issue for the version of PHP he is using

The issue doesn't related to the ajax part of the mod.
User from here gave me access to his forum and I saw that vboptions variable is empty from some reason.
Since vboptions hold the refresh time setting for the chat mod - the chat stuck in loading.

All I need is web host where I can work, since I don't have the issue in my host and local server.

Just to note, the ajax setting you attached in your message no longer works in vB5 and probably will be removed soon.

I can confirm the 'Loading' problem. Using HostGator. I'll contact you.

RellecT has been working on trying to figure it out on my site most of the morning. Hope he has a solution soon.

I've found the problems and I'm working to fix.
I already fixed the problem of the auto-install and now it works.
Just need to fix the loading issue.

It may take few hours.

Looking forward to the fix. Anxious to try this shoutbox out.

Both issues fixed. Looking for another person to test it to be sure it's working, then I'll release the update here.

If I clear the shoutbox then refresh the page, I get an error window. It's blank and just says error. http://screensnapr.com/v/7mKW8I.png

I noticed that today as well, but it's not about the clear.
As you know the chat refresh itself each X seconds.
What happens when you try refresh the page called ABORT.
In other words, you stopped the refresh action and that pop out error.
That will happen only if you try refresh/close the page exactly when the chat refresh itself.

Anyway, it's shows that error just because I wanted to locate every error that may be occur for development purposes, and forgot remove that after.
Will be fixed in the next upcoming version.

On beta 11, and i just get the Loading... To bad.
