Thumbs up/down system for all content of vBulletin!

This mod gives a simple thumbs system for:

How to install?
Read the documents inside the *zip file.

How to upgrade?
1. Upload and replace the new files.
2. Import XML product with "Allow overwrite" to YES.

Improvement Request: How about hiding the thumbs down if the it's not enabled.

Count and Thumb would need to be centered once the thumbs down was hiding. ;)

The "down" button is necessary if you have also the thumbs down votes disabled, 'cause it unset the "thumb up". :)
Do you pick up any report to thumbs down votes (for example to Thumbs Up? Center or to the box), when they are disabled?
The only one I have in mind is that the down votes displayed on the "latest" page of Thumbs Up? Center, if you disable them "later" and the members has catch some "down" votes.

I think it works, vB4.2 and 4.1 haven't big differences. About the template edits: a mod can add auto-template changes only if the relative template has the necessary "hooks" on its code. I don't picked up any way to do these changes automatically. The template edits this mod needs are very small (only one "word" per template).

Installed and imported previous 'thanks' for Post Hack Hack effortlessly. :)

This looks very promising - some stats for the postbit would be a welcome addition in the future as would integration into the Activity Stream and/or a forum sideblock for latest thumbs up/down.

I'm quite confused.
I can't find the "My Thumbs Center" in the User CP although it's enabled in the ACP settings.
Where can I find it? It is there If I enter /thumbs_center.php in the browser. But how can i
retrieve it in vbulletin?
I guess there should be a link in the navbar, but I don't have one... :(

Edit: If I click on the Thumbs-Box I got directed to the CMS Main Page of my vBulletin :confused:

Sorry, I did not realize there were settings for Thumbs Up? Center:..... which may have confused the issue. :o What I was trying to say and most likely still trying to say...

The centering I was talking about refers to the result of the images after removing the thumbs down rather than having a big space between the count and the thumbs up.

the font size of "Recent Thumbs received" is not the same as of "Recent Thumbs sent".
I think this is a bug?

If you're using vB4.2.X+ the Thumbs Up? Center link is on the "What's new" tab:

If you're using vB4.0.X-4.1.X should add the link manually. Also a link to the Thumbs Up? Center is on the notifications box when user has new thumbs.

aah okay found it. I didn't expect that it is on the "What's new" :D

My translation is nearly done, think I will upload it tomorrow :)

While it looks great, I was hoping that the Background color can be set per style. Further more, I'm sad to see that each page refresh takes up extra seconds to load the thumbs up / down boxes on each and every single post.

When you load a thread you've never seen before, the thumbs up and down loads instantly. But after you reload the thread, it takes longer to load them every time.

Another suggestion. When you thumb someone up, the thumb up icon will be gray and the red one will stick being red. I suggest making the red gray and the green green.. Reason is that is looks like you've thumbed down the post rather than up.

And is there anyway I can add this within the title icon bar? in postbit_legacy? I try to, but it breaks the title icon page.

Problem: In the TCenter I see the old "post Thanks" points. But not in the up/down option in posting. Yes I imported as you described...

Very strange this about the load, 'cause the mod do only one query per thread page for loading the box with voters.

About the button colors: voters take in directly the vote has given (+1 or -1), 'cause the counter refreshing directly.
The "logic" of changing buttons' color are the same for each thumb type:
- When click thumbs up-> green button takes to grey & red button be the same
- When click thumbs down-> red button takes to grey & green button be the same
- When you have no thumb a post or you have remove your thumb, twice buttons has their colors.
- Grey color means that you cannot push a button.
Do you mean that the thumbs box doesn't appear in postbit? Do you have done the necessary template edits? (read the Installation document inside the *zip file).

No, its there but i.E. in the Center it shows 200 thx from the old hack, in the postpox is all at 0

The Center shows only the latest 20 thumbs. Do you mean that you import from Post Thanks, but all rating boxes (=included the posts which thanked with Post Thanks), has "0" thumbs?
Very strange!

If you talking about the statistics, after an importing, you should run the recounters (see the documentation of importers). Finally, do a clean install of Thumbs Up? and try to run the importer again.

I did that, but the correct numbers of thanks only shows in the Center not in the postbox.

I look 3 thumbs to your posts on thread "Danke - Nein Danke". May you have more than one posts to that thread, which has been thumbed with +1 from members chiquitaman and Der Adel? Normally, when you click the link of post in T. Center, you're get to the corresponding post. Look at the urls you're visiting from T. Center. Has the same postid?

A overall number of up and downs, so I could put it in the left postbit, under Avatar and the second, is it possible to add an amount of reputation with every up and minus with down thumb?

There is no need to have the red thumb down to appear when it's completely disabled. It's smaller, compact and I like to have this as well.

This mod looks amazing to me, the visual design is by far the best I've seen so far.

Also, suggestion. Can this be split up?

Members can do only ONE type of thumb to a post.

A button "with colour" may have two functions: add a new thumb or remove an old (opposite) thumb.

Really like this mod and hope and still playing around with it on my Test site.

I would like to show the number of Thumb up/downs in the users postbit below the avatar but for some reason they don't show up.
I am using the variables I found in the thumbs-center:

Any help how to make them show would be great
