I'm impressed that two people have apparently installed it! And one person has even rated it!

Are we supposed to post ads in this forum? I thought it was for actual releases.

daveaite 06-29-2012 03:21 PM

I'll admit, it does look interesting. But my use for it would only be the vBAdvanced/ForumIDs combination, and $79 just to try that out isn't gonna happen.

Exactly same for me....

It looks interesting. But i never ever will purchase this Price just to have the Option for vbadvanced CMPS. And that would be the only Need in my Case.

If i would be the Coder i would think twice about it...

Oh, I don't object to paying for a mod (although $79 is hella expensive compared to most paid mods, and only gets you a measly 3-months updates/support as far as I can tell). It's just that I need to test the function I would intend to use before deciding to buy it.

Uninstalled.

Morrus 07-14-2012 10:04 PM

So, against my better judgement I ponied up the $59 just to try this out for 3 months with the vBAdvanced module. Yeah, I feel like someone just mugged me.

How long is the "Importing Product, Please Wait..." stage supposed to last? It's been 90 minutes so far [update - 2 hours].

The product description doesn't specify which verison of vBAdvanced it works with. I hope to hell it works with vBAdvanced 3. I did try emailing to ask, but got no reply.

On the positive side, I did get an exciting email which told me I now had access to a "massive amount" of premium content. Which, as far as I can tell, means the notification mod which I have no interest in, and this mod. But I assume they'll be releasing this "massive amount" before my 3-months expires.

Morrus 07-14-2012 10:28 PM

Stopped it and tried again after waiting 2 hours for the install. At first impression, seems to be doing the same thing again.

Product does not work. Can I have my $59 back, please?

Morrus 07-14-2012 10:52 PM

Another 25 mins.... second attempt does not work, either. Endless "installing". Worse, nobody can post post new threads. Folks, do NOT attempt this on a live board.

Morrus 07-14-2012 11:25 PM

OK, this is more serous than I thought.

Since attempting to install this, nobody can post new threads. However, the failed install means that there's nothing in the Product Manager to uninstall, so the issue is not reversible. This is a board-killer.

Do not install this mod on a live board.

Morrus 07-15-2012 12:28 AM

OK, to add to the above info: it now brings site sdown completely (perhaps because it's still trying to install in the background or something?)

My fault for trying it on a live site.

Glad i didnt try this mod.

It's because of "ALTER TABLE `".TABLE_PREFIX."post` ADD FULLTEXT(pagetext)" query.
Try something like "ALTER TABLE post DROP INDEX (pagetext)" and try to repair the "post" table.

n1k 07-18-2012 01:12 PM

Well, I have tried to install the mod for the second time.
Now i get
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function process_quote_removal() in [path]/forumslider/include.php(277) : regexp code on line 1"
Have you ever tested it?

n1k 07-18-2012 01:26 PM

I have fixed it by myself by commenting line 277.
Now I have no errors, but my forum just not loading. After turning the mod on LA is growing:
Code:

7,71  3,24  1,26

very funny

Morrus 07-20-2012 09:31 PM

I'm astonished by the fact that, having paid $59 for this mod, my comments that it doesn't work are being completely ignored.

I'm therefore starting a PayPal dispute regarding the transaction. Please, folks, don't make the mistake of paying these guys anything.

Morrus 08-03-2012 02:29 PM

Just in case anyone is interested or following along. They took ten days to even respond to the PayPal complaint, at which point they simply refused my request for a refund. Additionally, they also deactivated my account at their site. So not do I now only have a product which will not install, they have my $59 and I don't have the 3-month subscription I paid for.

That's funny, I have had nothing but excellent on-time service from them so far...last 9 months, I love the products, but Morrus I haven't read this whole thread

Paypal should refund the purchase amount. Anything that is considered an electronic download or virtual software they will refund the amount from there account. If they refuse the refund just escalate the claim further or perhaps call PayPal. I have dealt with this before and after calling all was good.

Glockie 08-04-2012 03:43 PM

Yep Paypal should sort it all out for you.
I just tried their 'demo' which is nothing but options within the admin CP
I checked the forums; DB error etc etc..

I hope I do not end up having crap like you mate seriously, that's pretty damn awful.

The 'guide' you can only read if you become VIP on their site.. yep for summat like 40 quid.

Sounds like one big scam to me.

bartek24m 10-03-2012 12:08 AM

It's board-killer

Harpo 10-08-2012 03:40 AM

Yikes. was about to install....glad I took the time to read the thread.

TheComputerGuy 10-13-2012 08:14 PM
