What do you have to do to be classed as a coder?

It is probably dead obvious....

But I cannot find it anywhere. It should be in the FAQ ;)

borbole 06-18-2012 04:45 PM

I think all you have to do for that is to release several mods. How many though I do not really remember, but keep submitting mods until you see the title added.

Thanks :)

It's not the making that is diffucult, it is the coming up with ideas :(

If you are out of ideas for mods, check the request forums and see if there is anything in there that would inspire you.

Making mods for me just came out of necessity for my forum and then i've released them here, others (as Borbole suggested) asked for mods so i took on the chellenge and created them, it doesn't really matter if you think it's useful,others may!, but i would be careful not to duplicate mods already here or use code from mods not marked as reusable :)

There are other threads on the subject.

In short, its based on your Release Level.

0 = Member
1 = Contributor
2+ = Coder and/or Designer.

Thanks for that. I did search, but didn't find a thing....

Just to avoid any disappointment - the release level isn't just the number of mods you've released, it also has something to do with number of installs (and possibly other things). If I remember correctly, I had 2 or 3 mods but didn't get Coder until I got to a total of 20 installs.

Yes, several other things.

Could be, I don't remember. But like Paul said, there are other factors so that might not be the same for everyone.

BirdOPrey5 06-20-2012 01:31 AM

I believe you can have fewer mods if you have more installs, or more mods with fewer installs- both can help you climb in release levels.

It is not a fixed number.

This and other factors as well.

@Paul M

Thanks for all the info....

I just have 1 more question:

Why is your user title 'Dr Pepper Addict'?

Pandemikk 06-21-2012 05:11 AM

I'd assume because he enjoys Dr. Pepper. :D

So do I, but it won't be automatic ;)

Although - I love Dr Pepper and Irn-Bru, so I should be a 'Dr Pepper & Irn-Bru Addict'.....

Because he enjoys Dr. Pepper *and* has the ability to set a custom user title. ;)

Pandemikk 06-21-2012 10:21 AM

That explains why my user title is still SFW.

And how would one go about obtaining this ability?
