Really cool, some of the features I could definitely see myself using and some definitely not, Kinda weird to have all of them stuffed into one plugin, but cool nonetheless, I'll be watching this project develop and decide at a later time.

Way too pricey but an interesting concept. I see some major plugin breakage with it not working with some mods that are already out there.

So for some high price in for the Pro you get a load of modifications, a lot of which are on here for free?
Most of which have already been made.
It's like DragonByte Tech all over again, but not as good.

I don't think so Boofo, I'm developing plugins for vBulletin for many years, And I've done many paid modifications, If anyone ask me to do all of these features that is in vBFoster I'll ask him with a way TOO far price than that.

Just if you asked any developer to do remote attachment server, He will ask you for a price more than the price of the entire vBFoster License, This is a huge features that's not done before for vBulletin or for any other forum software :)

This mods were all build from scratch? I know a lot of these mods are already available here @ vb.org for free, the only main difference I see with some of the plugins is that your option comes all in one and maybe few features that are unique.

The attachments stored on a 2nd server sounds like something Mert/lizardking made. Did he have any part in this?

Mert is not a part of vBFoster Hornstar.

Absolutely, Do you have any doubt that the authors of remote attachment server and the other unique features are not able to do the rest of these features ? :)

actually, using ideas to create something different is not a problem... a lot of guys did it with my engines in the past, and vBulletin 4.x contain more than 50 000 new lines of code that are inspired by guys here... *(and we're not paid for it, but that's another question)

Kinda silly it cost almost as much as vB itself for pro version. Just my 2 cents. Will give the lite version a whirl soon.

There is no instructions given how to install
but long description given about pro version for which the author is more interested.

It is not working with 4.1.11
Database error.
Uninstalled.
After uninstalling it the forum is now working fine.

Does the lite version has the new improved editor or the CDN ?

Ahobilam, The automatic installation products don't need installation instructions you will just need to upload the files from upload folder and import the product from admincp no more.

Is it compatible with vBSEO ?

The pro version is needed an installation instruction because there's some huge features like Remote Attachments Sever, This thing is needed a full tutorial so people can do it by themselves.

I agree that the price is too high for the pro version.

This looks like a great mod. Would love to see a complete install of this product in use on a site. Would be very interested in purchasing the full version. I have read everything on the vbfoster site and am still not 100% sure what everything is...

Some of the plugins are nice, but I don't need the major one -- pictures from another server... I would probably buy some if they weren't all tied together for one large price.. Also, I have VBSEO, which already has CDN (content delivery).

Who said that it's PICTURES from another server ? It's ATTACHMENTS from another server Vissa :)

All of your attachments "zip, txt, bmp, jpg, rar ... etc" files are uploaded to your second server "Or hosting account" so it's not PICTURES, It's ATTACHMENTS.

And about the price, Try to ask any developer to make just a feature like attachments in another server that supporting every current file attachments extensions format and see what's the price of just a feature like that, vBFoster is well priced.

I don't allow anything but picture attachments. I can see the value to other large forums, but as I said I don't need this major feature. It would be a waste of money for me, but some of the other plugins are quite nice. I just can't see paying that price for the smaller plugins.

Bug! This message did appeared on my front page forum.php after I installed this addon.

You just have to go over to the main forum for this Pro mod to see it's crashed and burned before it even really started,

this add-on created a activity stream on my homepage that I could not edit. It was showing all members staffroom thread titles which was not good for obvious reasons.

There was no way for me to edit the activity stream becuz i was missing the ''navigation'' menu under settings....and also did not have a activity stream menu under options. it was really weird. I also disabled the add-on and it did not disable the activity stream. Finally i knew this is where the issue was coming from so i uninstalled the add-on and it finally fixed the activity stream issue. dont know if it was becuz i was missing the key files or if it was this add-on.

Shame about the price, this would be an epic mod.

Lower it to be inline with FAIR and im sure you will receive more sales :)
