Very nice HMBeaty. This will come in very handy. :)

Good job.
But, I saw something else like this, that's Default Usergroup in Registration.
Could you tell me what different from your and that one ? Excluding dropdown list to select usergroup.

HMBeaty 12-12-2011 03:52 AM

Hmm, didn't notice that one. But....the code is definately different lol

Can you upgrade it to a mod like, if in registration form the user choose male/female, that user nick will go to Male usergroup or female. I am tired of changing the female rank always.

Yeah, I'm still trying to think of a way to code this in to this modification. I've been racking my brains today for how I'd like to set up in the vBulletin Options to be.....admin-friendly :p lol

Feature request;
Option to change "additional" or "primary" usergroup on registration.

CharlieDelta 01-05-2012 03:58 PM

Hey HM, any thoughts on this? ^

HMBeaty 01-05-2012 04:25 PM

Not at this time. I haven't had the time to look at the code for how that gets done. So, if I do/can get it added into this, I'm not sure when it will be.

Finished male/female?

Why don't you use male/female usergroups that you create as Public (Joinable) Custom Usergroups?

You could also make this usergroups Can override primary group title/markup, so users easily could choose if they would like to appear to outside as male of female?

It's in Public Group Settings when you create (or change) new usergroup.

We just had our first COPPA user register and I noticed that this moved them to the default usergroup rather than hold them in moderation.
I have since switched to "deny registration for users under 13".

Is it possible to have keep COPPA users in moderation usergroup and not move to default?

CharlieDelta 03-19-2012 01:55 AM

Any thoughts? ^^

Same as CharlieDelta. We had 2 coppa's register and it moved them to the usergroup I chose but not COPPA Users Awaiting Moderation. How can this be fixed? :(

viper357 07-29-2012 12:57 PM

Hi there, any chance you could change your mod to move users to a particular usergroup upon registration depending on a certain field? For example I want all users under 18 to be put into a special usergroup when they register, something like this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=82992

Please :)

Yep, both of these. This is WAY important.

HMBeaty 09-25-2012 08:04 PM

For those that would like to test the COPPA fix, please PM me and I'll let you know how to get it. Once you've tested it, please let me know if you still have any issues with it. Thank you :)
