Database Error v4.05
Almost daily now, I'm receiving notices of database errors that look like this:

Your mysql server is going down, or is unreachabe. Contact your webhost for more info.
|
Thank you, I've done so. I"ll post the results when they happen.

I've downloaded the update and will install it today. Then we'll see if the mysql errors keep occuring. |
It has nothing to do with you vBulletin version. Feel free to link them directly to this post and inform them that I am a member of the vBulletin support staff.
|
Has your problem been fixed yet?
This has been happening to me as well over the past few days. |

Are you getting the same line error? "class_core.php on line 313"??? |
Yes, I am!
It hasn't happened since Friday. |
Very interesting, Cathy. Thanks for letting me know this. I"ll pass it along to my Hosting service.

Catherine, what version of vBulletin are you running? I"m using 4.05 Just got an email from my Hosting service. He said "I think upgrading to the latest version will get rid of this bug". He's a hard-headed one. I've linked him to this thread and told him what Zachery has said on that subject, but he's one of those "I won't have to do anything if I can blame it on someone else" types. I'm surprised he didn't say "It's Bush's fault". Ha! |
Well, today, my hosting service transfered my site to another server. We'll see if the error messages stop now.
|
Well, after the server change, the errors stopped. I'm not sure why. I can only imagine that the copy of mySQL on the original server was corrupt in some way.
