Forum Members (membelist.php)
Further Development by BirdOPrey5
www.Qapla.com Previous Development by ChrisTERiS 1.- What's this? This AddOn replaces the file memberlist.php and shows this list in a better interface and adds more features in the listing (mostly in the PRO version). Please note, that as I said before, there is a replacement of the original memberlist.php, so in case that you want to revert back, you must re-upload this file from your vB distribution. Also after any vB upgrade you need to re-upload my memberlist.php (just re-upload, no re-importing the xml file). 2.- Features
This mod is an upgrade of Mary's MemberIndex for which I've got the rights. Copyright removal is phohibited (PRO version does not has copyright link). 5.- Demo (PRO version) Chris |
i am there :)

Wow
Awesome Chris, really awesome I will try it First Installed + 5 stars =) |
Where can I get the Pro version?
|
Very nice.
Not something I will personally use but nevertheless, nominated for motm. |

Edited: If it doesn't works, please wait a bit as I want to revert to an earlier version of the cart. Thank you Chris |
Looks very nice.
My only comment would be, it needs an option to simplify it so that (a) it just goes straight to the actual member list and (b) it can show all members in one view, not split by usergroup. A lot of sites like mine have usergroup names kept private, they are never exposed in the public UI and members generally don't know they exist. I can probably hack it to be like that myself but I think it'd be a useful option to have. |

Aside from admin/mod, we use usergroups to restrict permissions to certain types of member and this is done entirely back-end, there's no public visibility of the fact the groups exist, nor who is in them. Though as I say (without seeing the code) I reckon I can fairly easily hack this in. |

Another excellent mod from you Chris.
Your link to the PRO version gives an error... When I look at my memberlist the "username" is white and when hovering over it it turns black. Where can I change the color of the username text (white) to another color as the white one is not visible? |
Chris your e-shop seems to have bitten the dust.

I dont see the search function?
|

Uninstalled it just now, very buggy. The default avatar (noavatar.gif) path is broken, the alphabetic username search doesn't work and the pagination doesn't work either - it redirects you to forumhome. Also the css for my header (logo/login toplinks) and navbar is broken when viewing the memberlist.php |
Quote:
Main issues are as above - Alphabetic bar is not working and the same for the pagenav - both just lead to white pages. Very promising though. I had it looking pretty decent, but only the first page would display. |

1.- Wrong avatar path 2.- Pagination wrong link 3.- Sorry I was unable to reproduce your report for wrong Letter search. For me works. 4.- As for your special style, as I seen you're designer. Just include the css to the head section of forummembers_index template and everything should be ok. Chris |

Please don't get me wrong, there is no intention to underestimate your experiance to modify the file, but its easier for me to make the changes than to write instructions on how to do it. Actually there were lots of changes. Please upload the attached file. Also import the xml file to remove the usergroup block from the template. Chris |
Very nice mod, I'd love to use, but most likely it's not going to work for me.
|
Very nice ..but not showing top posters only 0 posters and how do i select more than 1 usergroup in the Acp..

Nominated - 5 Stars
Any plans for Maria's old newsletter Chris ? I like the idea of this one, sadly it never worked or got support https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=269620 It pulls all the info from VB into the newsletter - which saves a lot of time putting a newsletter together Cheers Chris |

http://www.bowlandcentral.com/forum/memberlist.php Obviously the templates are tweaked somewhat, mine always are. :) Only thing I can't get working is the online status of each user. Nothing seems to show, even when I used the default template. |

Nice to see you again. There is a post about Mary's ForoMail in my site: http://www.christeris.com/entry.php?1-ForoMail-Retouch Take care Chris |
Hey
I've downloaded and added this to my forum It appears that when i select the top posts etc etc it only seems to pull the data from the registered users group not my other usergroups that i have created therefore it is saying that the top poster has 14 posts....the top poster actually has 2800 (ish) posts Help please |
Quote:
In any case I'm planing to add a feature to select which usergroups to search for counting the Top posters. Chris |
I'm not sure why, but the search option doesn't seem to be showing up for me. Do you know why?
|
I have now completed my work, using this to turn my memberlist into a sexy beast!
http://www.bowlandcentral.com/forum/memberlist.php My only small concern is that this mod is very heavy on queries. I have 32 members per page and it's 138 queries. Other than that it's great. |

I would also like to have the memberlist open up to a specific usergroup but also have the usergroup menu. |
Slow and buggy. Removed.

Maybe you share the code changes you made? :) |
