Looking for a mod?

I saw a mod on here for vbulletin 4 that i can't seem to find. I was hoping someone knows what its called and could point me in the right direction.

It was a mod that show's the users who are viewing a forum. Here's a pic of what it looks like now, but with the mod i saw it would show me the users instead of showing me how many are currently viewing.

Thanks in advance, Joe.

I have never seen a mod for that on here. Are you sure there ever was one?

I'm pretty sure there was, i was looking for another mod and stumbled upon it.

I'll keep looking i guess.

Your image is from the forum home. I have never seen what you are describing but, what you are asking for should be a default setting to show member names, but not on the forumhome.
It shows member names viewing below the threads.

I don't use 4.0 series, but the Thread Display Options (showthread) in vbulletin option should be similar. You can set it there to show member names, but only below threads themselves & not on formhome.

Yea that's the problem, i already have a mod that shows who has viewed a thread but i was looking for something to show me who's in that section of the site.

As you can see its an admin section and there are only 2 admins but at times it shows 2-3-7-5 people viewing but I'm not sure how they can see, or if the counter is just broken. Why i was looking for some kind of mod to display who's in that forum.

I should note before anyone suggests this, Its not a permission issue with user groups i have looked at everything and none of the stages of user groups can access it but yet it shows people viewing.

Thanks for the help guys, looks like I'll be needing to find a coder to make this mod...

I know you looked in usergroup setting but did you look in Forum permissions?
I would edit the forum permissions to deny all in the admins section & re-add admin usergroup to access the admins forum via forum permissions.

If that don't work then...good luck searching

Also, check in usergroup settings to see if you have additional users (secondary usergroup) in the admins usergroup.

That is not going to do what he wants. Instead of "1 viewing", he wants the actual username of who is viewing. That mod has not been made yet. I was requested to make it for someone and only now upgraded to 4.1.8 waiting on the comma fix.

I've done all that already, running my kind of site you have to edit the forum permissions for each user group outside of the groups own settings. No one has access to the admin section of the site but it still displays odd numbers of people who viewed it.

Anyways @Boofo First thanks for the referral mod, secondly are you trying to say you have a mod that does this but something in the vb code itself is keeping you from releasing it?

I was hired to do this for a client but wanted to wait until the comma issue was fixed before I attempted it.

I doubt those are real people trying to view those forums. Probably just spyders. I've even seen spyders trying to view pages for modifications.
