Avatars not showing in New Threads/New Replys
Good Morning all,
On my forum (www.sdgaming.co.uk/forum.php), the Avatars don't seem to be showing the the New Threads/New Replys on the right hand side... I'm not sure where to be looking in order to fix/configure it. Anyone able to help Thanks Luke |
Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:
Create a new style with no parent:

Hi HMBeaty,
Many thanks for the quick reply. I have tried both of those together (deactivated the hooks and then changed the style), but it still only shows the blank avatars, anyone that has a personal one it is still not showing. Thanks Luke |

Looks to me like all the blank ones on the right side are for userid 2. Are you sure user 2 hasn't just set his avatar to a blank image?

Anyway, it looks like it's when it has "&type=thumb" on the url that it comes out blank. |

Hey guys, thanks for the support.
It wasnt set to 777, I have now change it to 777, will the members need to re-upload their avatars in order for me to test it? Thanks Luke |
No
Go to AdminCP > Maintenance > Update Counters > Rebuild Custom Avatar Thumbnails And you should be all set :) |
Im sorry to be such a pain, but it gave me the following error:
Code:
Processing: : 2 (png) Thanks Luke |

I have the same problem, I would appreciate a response.
|
Did you try the solutions above?
|
I could solve it with this:
Settings -> Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options -> Safe Mode Upload Enabled. - Set it to YES and reupload the avatars. Then you need to reupload your avatar or admin cp -> maintenance -> recount Works fine! Demo -> http://l2ashenvale.com/foro/forum.php |
sorry to bump and old thread, but none of this works :(
|
I am sorry also for bumping this thread but I think I found a solution for this problem. I was having the same issue and found this thread.
Nothing here posted worked either for me. By going to forum/avatars and mod 777 that directory fixed it (didn't even have to rebuild). Not the customavatar directory. It seems like some blocks pull from the customavatar and others just the avatars directory. |
