Forumdisplay Template - Sub Category Title & Description Display Fix
1 Attachment(s)
If you check the screenshots, some of you may have stumbled upon this tiny display issue, also noticeable on the vB.com official website. This may look insignificant but for a perfectionist like me it may be a problem.
This affects vB4 forums with the following structure: Your Forum -- Top Category -- -- Sub Category One -- -- -- Forum Title -- -- -- Forum Title -- -- Sub Category Two -- -- -- Forum Title -- -- -- Forum Title The screenshot below is an example: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...hmentid=134239 The fix for this is very simple, I hope it will picked up by the vBulletin team and included into future script versions. Read the instructions attached below. --------------------------------------- Here's the result: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...hmentid=134240 |
You could just add this to the additional.css file and be done with it

I'll update the original post to reflect the adjusted code that needs to be added to the additional.css template file to avoid edit of a core template file (forumdisplay.css that is). I'll paste version 1.0 of the template changes for future reference: Go to: AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Search in Templates Look for: forumdisplay.css Find: Code:
.forumbits .forumbit_nopost .forumhead .forumrowdata .subforumdescription { Code:
.forumbit_nopost .forumhead .forumtitle, .forumbit_nopost .forumhead span, .forumbit_nopost .forumhead .collapse, .forumbit_post .forumhead h2 span { |
Nice

I wish this thread were taken note of by the vBulletin crew, as I really hope to end facing a truly perfect looking and functioning product. That being said, the Blog product as part of the vBSuite needs attention in form of fine touches, too.

nice but I wonder how to add subcategories??

(see the forum edit page inside AdminCP) Act as Forum: NO Forum is Open: NO Logically, to add a sub-category you have to assign it to a parent category. |
I'm sorry I completely forgot to post an important update for this template modification. Paul M has confirmed that the issue described above has been corrected and we should expect the fix to be merged into vBulletin 4.1.10.
This is good news, thanks Paul! |
EDIT: Nevermind lol

Anyway, yes, it's been taken care of, fortunately. |
