Search Help
I'm trying to search, whatever I search for nets no results. I've tried searching the root for things like "4.1.7", "Thank", "Users Online", anything I search for gives me no results.
Can somebody point me to the right direction? Am I doing something wrong here? How am I supposed to search for stuff in a database with millions of things. Would kindly appreciate the assistance. |
why are you searching your db for?
|
I'm talking about the search on this site, vBulletin.org, I can't get any results.

Try typing the same in google, add vbulletin to the end before you hit search etc ;).

in google:
Code:
site:vbulletin.org Thank You Mod |

I'm searching for the following:
- A Thank You mod. - All 4.1.7 styles (I want to filter only 4.1.7 versions) - Chat/Shoutbox mod - A few other things that I can't think of right now. I do hear you on the google thing. I have been using that method to get some of the things. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong when searching using vBulletin's search feature. Thanks for all your suggestions and help. |
I don't think you can filter the styles by version. I could be wrong. However, for those mods, try this, at the top search for
1. thank* - 4.X Mods - Titles Only 2. chat* shout* - 4.X Mods - Titles Only Edit: You may also use "4.X Mods - All Posts" instead of titles, which would probably provide more results, but also, of course, some irrelevant results :) |
HMBeaty, thank you very much for that suggestion. That is actually very helpful and is around what I was looking for as an answer to my original question.
Much appreciated! |
