Thread Highlighter for Usergroups Light by BOP5 (Highlight threads on forumdisplay)v3
1 Attachment(s)
Version 1.61 - Bug fixes and updates to make manual template edits easier if required.
Version 1.6 - Initial VB 3.x release. Live Demo: Qapla.com Demo Forum - See the "Thread Highlighter" thread- it should be highlighted in gold. (Demo is of VB4 version. See screenshots for VB3 version.) The purpose of this mod is to "highlight" threads of special usergroups in forums. The mod works on threads listed in forumdisplay, search, and subscribed threads list in User CP. This is the free version- it allows you to specify 1 color for 1 or more usergroups. The Giold version allows you to specify up to 3 colors for 3 or more usergroups. Gold version available here: Qapla.com - Thread Highlighter by BOP5 Gold Both versions allow easy setup via the mod settings in Admin CP- You can choose your color(s) via a standard color picker and easily select usergroups by checkbox, no need to lookup usergroup ids. Both versions also allow you to activate on all forums OR selected forums. Also an option to enable or disable highlighting in the search and in subscriptions. The mod will automatically make template edits to your threadbit template. Should work even in a heavily customized style. Contact me for manual template edits if needed. See the screenshots for examples. Please "Mark as Installed" if you use this. :) VB 4.x version: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=271350 |
Reserved.
You need to pick both an Alt1 and Alt2 color for each highlight. This image explains which color is which. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1319246056 Usually you will want the colors to closely match but not be the exact same. |
I installed and did settings. Nothing has changed.
|
I see you have a pretty customized style, my guess is that is the problem. Can you check it on the default style so I know for sure?
To use the default style (if you don't have it anymore) go to Admin CP -> Style Manager -> Add New Style and create a new style with no parent. You don't have to give your users access to it, just test it yourself. |
I did what you said. But it did not work.
|
If you're willing to PM me an admin account to login to your admin cp I will take a look.
|
I sent you a PM.
|

OK I have updated this to version 1.61, there were a couple of "bugs" but I'm not sure if they would actually have prevented the mod from working.
The major change in this release is that new code was added so that if you need to make manual template edits, it is much easier then before. Instructions on how to do the manual template edits is in the .zip file now. If the mod does not appear to work for you please make the manual template edits described. |

how can i select threads for Hilight to Usergroup??
|
You cannot select specific threads. All threads by selected usergroups will be highlighted.
|
Is there a way to limit this by section?
Edit: I just re-read the thread. I must have skipped over the part where you state that you can select which forums. ;) |
